I have been a operator along time. That was impressive. Not sure how much front grill/radiator got damaged but still that takes mad skills and balls. I surprised it didn't slide down while sitting in that wet slick concrete bottom bottom of bucket. Learn something new every day for sure.
Salute from me, I'm pretty sure you too an operator. Only we know that technique, in my county its call 'loader kiap'. Very useful skill if you got stuck in deep muddy soil.
The JCB demonstration team would probably give this guy a job!, obviously knows his job and his equipment, amazing skill, better done with a Track machine with longer reach, but very clever use of a Backhoe-Loader, never really in danger of damaging it, but needed serious operator skill and concentration
That operator had to have many years of experience and that they have done this before. They had to know that the water level was very shallow. If when he dropped the back arm bucket and it was a spot deeper than it looked, the whole backhoe could have tipped over.
Same as a JCB 3CX, dipper arm and shovel rams rated for five times the weight of the machine, this may not be recommended best practice, but it is well within the machines capabilities, it could have gone wrong ten different ways, the reason it didn't was the operators skill and obvious experience, this was not his first time, and this sort of thing is done by the Royal Engineers when necessary, these machines are made to be able to climb in and out of gullies, it's one of the reasons they are so versatile and well suited to disaster and rescue situations
Ok, he needs to be fired. He/She. Because only people who smoke weed would sit down and think, I know how I'm going to get into there without any help. He had to have smoked some fire
