❤😊I ENJOYED THE RIDE❤😊 I REMEMBER SEEING THE AXIAL FLOW COMBINE WHEN THEY WERE NEW SITTING IN THE LOT AT BOHLKE INTERNATIONAL ON HWY 169 JUST NORTH OF LE SUEUR MN !!! The building was being built in 1976 IT WAS A NEW DEALERSHIP !! PAUL MEYER HAD RETIRED IN 1974 THAT BUILDING AND LOT WAS ON MAIN STREET IN LE SUEUR MN❤😊

Ah, a McDon header - knew that reel profile looked familiar. Those wide tracks and huge rear wheels look amazing. Amazed too, that such a large machine only has a single rotor.

No, CNH doesn't own MacDon, CNH built their own draper for a few years, one that very few liked all too well, not even the Welkers could save that through marketing

I used to think combined were huge when I was a kid but these new machines are on a whole different level of massive. I remember fields full of tractors and farm hands. Now only two or three people can do more work and farm more acres than dozens of hands used to.

Always enjoy wheat harvesting videos. Here in NE Ohio wheat should be good to go in about 2 weeks. Then double crop soybeans and then oats. Finally are getting some dry weather this coming week.

We run a 1470, and a 1660 combine, and both are very nice machines, we run the 1470 on the hillsides, and the 1660 on more flat ground

Seems counter productive to have a john deere monitor and receiver for guidance when you already have everything there for case guidance. Money well spent

In the ride along the farmer mentions all their tractors and planters are John Deere. This lets the whole fleet communicate and keep each pass the same.

Are grain hoppers actually able to hold the advertised amount? We are new to growing small grains, but I noticed that it seems like the harvesters are only getting about half the manufacturer-advertised number of bushels before they’re dumping into the trailers (they aren’t using grain carts, just dumping directly into semi trailers). I can see the grain poking out over the top.. seems like they’re full. But maybe they’re not filling up all the way? They dump six times to fill up a truckload, and the advertised bushel capacity is 250. John Deere 9750 STS.

Since technically it’s already publicly released, I’m probably fine I’m divulging this. We had a Case tech and one of the prototype 8260’s running with us all last year during corn and soybeans in southern IL. I didn’t spend much time in it at all, but I did get the opportunity to move it to a field whilst the tech brought the head. The dual 1200 monitors are a *huge* upgrade over the previous single 700, it’s not even a comparison. The new set wasn’t bad either. Though, the Case corn head they used it with wasn’t the greatest. The integrated stalk choppers would deafen you, and they kicked up so much crap, you had to blow the radiator out every couple of hours

Yes. They just started cutting Friday and had a tornado damage the bin system. It rained all weekend. Done time in the next week I will catch up with him. This video was filmed Friday evening.

Most farms try for 10 days for planting and harvesting. It all depends on weather conditions.

@@OrthmanMfgFrance it can take two weeks or more depending on weather. June 10 is the target start day. Often we see allot of large thunderstorms in June that will delay harvest a few days here and there. For a class 8 combine in this area of Kentucky farms tend to harvest 1,000 acres of wheat per machine and 2,500 acres of corn per machine.

It's a shame that Case wasted an opportunity to add value to this new combine by routing the discarded chaff & stalk material to the field instead of blowing it into a remotely operated (by the combine driver) tractor-trailer combination to pelletize the chaff for gasification to help mitigate electricity, hot water for heating and home use and steam for sanitizing operations on the farm..
