North America farmers will see Case IH's AF11 combine in the field in 2024 as the company gears up for a full-scale launch in 2025.
The new combine created a buzz at farm shows last winter as Case IH showcased the 775 horsepower machine's ability to bring together runtime advancements through speed and technology to maximize in-field productivity. In this report from Commodity Classic in Houston, Texas, Case IH harvesting marketing lead Leo Bose shares how speed and throughput are delivered with consistent crop flow, reduced grain loss and radar-controlled residue management.
The AF11 boasts a 567-bushel grain tank and a six-bushel-per-second unload rate, improved fuel efficiency and a large fuel tank to keep runtime at a maximum. As the first combine in the AF series, it will offer a number of technology-focused features, including Case IH’s combine automation solution and Harvest Command.
Bose also looks at how the AF11 and the company's new C516 corn head team up for fast, clean harvest. The high capacity, 16-row header boasts the largest in-feed auger in the industry and independent drive lines and adjustable deck plates help maximize throughput.
Compatible with all Axial-Flow and AF series combines, Bose notes that engineering advancements have reduced header weight by nearly 1,000 pounds while increasing capacity by 23 per cent over previous models
