It's a wake-up call to not trust the so called perfect relationships that we see on social media. The constant kissing, hugging, and we are made for each other stuff is all fake. Marriage needs a lot of work and adjustments which hardly anyone want to do these days. I had followed them for years and Mimi had changed into a different person when she decided to just be there for Alexa and prioritise her motherhood. She stopped applying makeup, creating creative content, taking care of herself, lost weight to extreme levels. While Alex kept on travelling to different places for solitude and what not. Also I wonder what would have happened if the tables were turned and Mimi would had travelled like crazy instead of Alex. She would had obviously been judged and bullied for it. But Alex even now is hardly there for the child. Anyways I pray that Alexa doesn't suffer in this process and stays a happy girl.

That's sad as I used to watch their videos. Mimi was the dominant one and Alex the quiet supportive man.

This is what is happening to my husband and I. Similar to them we waited to have kids , meaning we spent a lot of time "having fun " kid free . So when we unexpectedly got pregnant we were shocked , like what happened to them I remember watching their announcement video. He kept doing himself , while mimi embarked on motherhood, and he wanting or not left her alone. Some couples are great without kids . You need two people who truly want each other and a kid together

Not shocked at all, it was a relationship full of issues just like most relationships but the Ikkons where trying to portray it as the perfect relationship purely for selling their products and making money. They have been scamming their followers for years but people are too native to see through them. Who remembers when there was a covid lockdown and everyone was locked at home while the ikonns were travelling to the Caribbean pretending they wanted to buy a house there just to get out of the UK. Absolutely disgusting behaviour

You know with all due respect, the one thing I always hated was that Ppl complained do much that Mimi and Alex were selling a dream. They had problems and issues all the way along but they chose to work on them. I’m shocked they broke up but at the same time, there were instances when Alex seemed super shut down in vlogging instead of doing his regular videos. On the other hand Mimi wanted to spend more time with their daughter while Alex, said he sometimes needed time to himself ( though he was a very loving parent) then the many times they said they would stay up all night and talk things out if they had an issue. Alex shouting out all their assistants who quit and created their own journal (which for me was a little crazy they ripped that idea from the Ikonns) They were never playing perfect but they had a beautiful life they worked in creating. Slot of ppl thought Mimi was bossy in the earlier years before Alexa was born. They didn’t sell perfect. Ppl just couldn’t take the beauty, even amidst the natural human struggles they had. I miss their videos. I hope they both find peace and happiness.

I'ven following them forever. They were never alone, always with Alex mom around. They are both young and full of love and I beleive in them. Maybe she had to do it to realize there is nothing out there better than what she already had in front of her, Alex Ikkon.

Obviously they loved one another, and despite this breakup news, Mimi looks hurt but still feels part of that team. They were in love way back when they were just great minimum hourly wage earners in a restaurant. No money involved. I hope they patch things up! Be kind!

Do you know what I think - their brand couldn't survive tiktok as what sells on there is very different and less curated. That took a knock on their confidence/ income.
