I had this scammer guy ask me " what are your insecurities and weaknesses", I said " promise you won't tell anyone ?" , he said no. I said " I LIKE A MAN WITH A LOT OF MONEY ". He ran away lol.

This goes for EVERY SINGLE PERSON THAT YOU MEET AND IT CAN ALSO INCLUDE FAMILIES. Telling people your weaknesses and insecurities is the worst thing that you can do.

I once told an ex I was graped by an ex. He turned around and do the same thing . He then tell people I was lying and it was the ex before him that graped me ☹️. Whoever I’m dating I tell them my previous relationship was great . We just grew apart . That’s all I’m sharing

Truth bomb here. I learned this lesson after sharing family drama with someone who was interested in me. But once he learned I didn’t have romantic feelings for him, he threw what I had shared with him in my face. Be careful who you trust as malicious people will weaponize what you tell them

Vulnerability is a requirement of intimacy and does not come without risk. How can someone have an intimate relationship while doing this? It seems like a fear based response. There’s always a possibility of being hurt by a partner even if you don’t disclose any of this information. If someone cannot accept the fact that they could be hurt as a result of being in a relationship, they should not enter one. Otherwise it’s just a surface level relationship where you’re not being real with yourself or the other person. Once the person has earned your trust, you should be able to tell them anything you want. Otherwise what’s the point of having a partner in the first place?

You are right. Especially when you’re dating outside of the race, it might be easier to let your guard down because it seems new and exotic but don’t especially when you’re not so informed about the culture of the man you’re dating treat all men the same.

I do agree that we should be mindful about what we disclose to men. But what happens when he asks specific questions related to these topics? Do you lie? Do you say you’d rather not talk about it? What if he finds out via another person? Will he feel betrayed and resentful that you didn’t tell him directly?
