An incredibly moving film with stand out performances all the way none more so that Casey afflecks.I read a review that Manchester by the sea isn't a movie you just watch, you feel it. Can't sum it up better than that .

i have nothing against casey, great performance indeed. restrained and effortless. but when i've seen hacksaw ridge, andrew garfield just blew me away, such a great character.. the movie became an instant classic, not a single boring moment. Sad to know it wouldn't get much award it deserves.

his performance was pitch perfect. he's a huge star that was able to capture the everyday blue collar man who just wants to be left alone. being able to underwhelm his star presence and disappear into a role like that is very hard.

He was an alcoholic at the time these allegations were made - which, also, occurred six years ago. He's sobered up and worked it out with the people he hurt. So not only did he give a devastating performance in a great movie , but he's also repaired himself as best as he can after doing something bad.
