We were fortunate enough to get permission to visit an indoor shopping mall. There were other dogs inside as well. Cash behaved wonderfully and got lots of attention. This will be an ongoing series.
I noticed that too, but as soon as he was in and there was no way back, he managed it very well and was sometimes also curious looking. 😊 But I'm sure he was a little bit relieved when got out
@@MoulinMariana for sure, I saw that too!! Lovely to see the warmth in people just suddenly appear... Animals are the best!! It was probably but much for him tho... He'd much prefer open fields, rivers, .. Too much echo in malls. I was afraid he might freak out... I had a huge dog n some ppl had opposite reaction, telling me off for not having him muzzled!! There were enough muzzles in this video tho!! ;-) Beautifully groomed too. Lovely nature. I say there should be more dogs around, especially the trained service dogs for hospitals, hospice And every senior residents home should have at least one big cuddly dog! Golden retrievers are my favourite!
My friend has a Great Dane and his dog loves to jump on top of you when your sitting on the couch and sit in your lap cause he thinks he’s a lap dog lol
They're mostly huge dogs with a little dog complex, which is ironic because there are little dogs with Big dog complexes. Most popular are the chihuahua
Is he friendly? "I would never bring him if he wasn't." That's absolutely perfect. I work at a hardware store and we are incredibly dog friendly almost never have a problem.
Honestly everyone should ask before coming up to any dog. Never assume. We had a pure German shepherd puppy and some lady walks up, didn't ask started petting him I could see how unsure the dog was as he was in training with his coat on. After she left the owner told me how much that interaction sucked.
@@MrPatrickbuit I don't think "Socialising " is (only) about the fact "that people should be able to pet your dog" Actually i think it's pretty weird that people would come up to a random dog and start petting it (without asking in forehand). The way i look at it... imagine your walking on the streets and out of nowhere a guy comes to you and starts rubbing your back, shoulder and arms out of nowhere, what would you feel or think?
love how you expected the security guard to come up questioning if he was allowed in the mall only for him to say “no i just can’t believe how big he is!” beautiful dog man & he has a fantastic owner!
Cash is the perfect example of a Great Dane. They are known as the "Friendly giants or gentle giants" of the dog breeds and it's exactly what they are.
*sometimes* lmao. I have a super friendly gentle giant and the other is extremely protective. They seem to go one of two ways: total pansy, terrified of everything OR fearless, protective pains in the ass 🤣
@@sourgummiez5073 yeah mine was lovey to everyone until my mom and step dad divorced. Then he became really protective and only really lovey with us. He attacked a friend once. But he got off his chain a few times and went running around the neighborhood and never attacked anyone...so I guess people were only in danger if they came in our house.
I really did just sit here and watch a dog walk through the mall for 16 minutes lol. The dog is so sweet and so wonderful but so is his owner. Being willing to leave if he really has to, treating everyone around him with respect, keeping his dog close which makes people who may be scared feel a little safer. Awesome man and his best friend
@@Luke-yd7wk I'm speaking from personal experience. The mall I go to is dog friendly, as are many stores nowadays. My puppy does really well and it's a great place to train. So yes, they can be great places to train and some are dog friendly. Wanna tell me I'm wrong some more?
Everyone’s talking about the dog being calm and gentle but the owner is so incredibly nice & considerate! He has no issues explaining things to everyone around. Such a respectful dude. Props to him 🙌
As if some people get dogs just to draw attention to themselves , sad, and then expect everyone else to deal with their dog (good or bad) . The dog is very stressed . Some people enjoy it , some don't care , some are stressed . Certain people will do anything for views
I love that he's so beautiful that nobody's even trying to pet him. They just know that he's too majestic to even be touched and they're just letting him live his best life. They also say a leader should be able to walk freely amongst his people. lmfao
Ngl, he’s adorable and he’s just looking around and listening to the sounds. Malls are so loud, never noticed until I watched this video. They definitely mimic their companion behavior, you’re calm so he’s calm. Sweet dog.
I noticed he’s not very people attentive. Doesn’t make eye contact with anybody or acknowledge faces for the most part. I think most big clumsy dogs are like that.
No ones mention how kind and respectful the man is? He seems so proud of his big doggy and it's so wholesome 😭❤ Such a humble and grateful man. Keep up the good content! So happy for you :)
@@chocolatmilk2041 You can clearly tell the dog is well trained, friendly, and the owner keeps it close to himself on a LEASH. This place seems to be a local mall and as we saw, already has some dogs/pets roaming around, which leads me to believe that people around that area seem to know that this mall allows pets. Everyone is very happy and curious to see him, which probably indicates that there hasn't been any huge incidents with pets in the mall before. That being said, if someone sees the dog, they don't have to approach it. They can keep as much distance as they'd like. Since the mall allows pets, I'd assume people entering the mall would know of that before hand and if you're scared of dogs then find another mall or again, keep your distance. I see absolutely no problem if the dog is well trained and next to it's owner ( keep in mind on a leash ) like showcased in the video.
@@chocolatmilk2041 That's understandable, however as showcased in the video the dog is friendly, well behaved, on a leash, and seems to be trained. Therefore I see no problem with him taking his big friendly pup with him to the mall.
My Dane named Hank the Tank passed away at age 7 a few years back. He looks remarkably like Cash. Thanks for reminding me of my handsome boy, he will be missed
I am a divorce attorney, and often spend my days around angry and upset people. I sometimes run this video in my office in the background to chill everyone out. Cash and owner are the best!
@@try9749 for sure. I used to walk one. 8 out of ten people say something to you. Fine at first, until the 1000th time you hear the same things. .. then it starts getting old
As a service dog handler I appreciate that you got permission before entering with your dog. Taking them into non-pet friendly places can be dangerous but an amazing training opportunity. Please remember that he asked before bringing his ~pet~ into a mall. His behavior was amazing. On point and so was the handler. Respectable on all fronts. Great job.
Also the fact he was wondering if the pug was a service dog before getting too close, you can tell he isnt the kind of person who would bother a service dog
But you didn’t notice how he didn’t get permission from the frenchies owner about letting the Dane approach his dog? You shouldn’t just let your dog ever walk up to another dog without getting permission first. Doesn’t matter how “friendly” your dog is, you don’t know the other dog and could be putting both dogs at risk which is not cool. You can tell the frenchie was not a fan and neither was the gentleman who quickly walked away.
@@milky.funland true I have a 13 pound dog and I feel rly bad whenever I let her get as close to strangers as this mega dog is 😂 Very trashy to not have your big scary lookin dog in a heel position in a crowd of people. 4/10 vid
Hes so excited. He can't determine where to look next. What an adventure. They are cool dogs. Seen one in person once and they are overpowering to look at.
@@eiupanther2012 Cash does look quite alert considering the amount of noise, different smells, and the large number of people walking around him but at the same time, he actually looks curious since he keeps looking around. Yer right about him relaxing at the very ending, hope he still had a nice adventure walking around the mall lol
The sense of joy and awe other people get when they see a large dog never gets old. It's like the dog brightened their day just by being there. We don't deserve dogs, but I'm glad they're here.
Yes we dont deserve them. We breed the hell out of them so they look like we want them to look but their genetics are skewed and most have health issues.
@@amberheardsdog No. Have dogs committed genocide? Are they so prideful? Do they revel in watching suffering? There are many qualities that only a human, capable of high abstract function have. Dogs are functionally incapable of being as horrible as a human. Now, the question of what "deserve" means confounds any discussion. However, in some shallow interpretation, humans certainly don't deserve dogs. Humans deserve each other. We deserve lying cheating manipulating humans. Why do you think dogs deserve companions as untrustworthy as us? When they never fail us if we don't fail them? A dog's failure is a result of it's owner's neglect or ignorance.
He is a beauty and I love the lesh control. He followed everytimg you move this lease from one side or to the other just by slightly touching his side he followed. Thats just simply beautiful.❤️🙏🏼❤️
I’m so jealous when dogs can greet each-other so calmly. My dog is suuuper friendly, but he would spazz out everything he sees another dog because he wants to play.
You have to put in work to socialize dogs properly. Don’t be “jealous” just work with your dog to develop their self-restraint and obedience. Any dog can learn to calmly approach another dog/person, it just takes a bit of consistent training.
Can't blame him for being a little nervous. Imagine entering a den of dogs, wolves, or lions not knowing their temperament. Just to put things in perspective. He handled this pretty well. Good Owner. Good dog. Good video.
I'm surprised so many people didn't know what a great dane is, I thought it was one of those well known breeds but I guess it's not. This was a really nice video and I really love how to owner is respectful, calm, and educates. 😊
@@bobboby2400 San Bernardos are really big too, I used to have one that when he stood up he was exactly my size (my height is 194cm) he was really chill with people and he specially loved belly rubs 😊 although he always got really nervous around other dogs since he has a bad experience when he was really young, I took him for a walk and we found a pack of dogs that tried to attack him, I even had to take 2 or 3 bites to save him
Neighbors across the street have a Dane and one time she got out and was in my yard... I went out to get her and take her home, knowing she's friendly and a big sweetheart... but when I got out there face to face with her I was a little intimidated !! It felt like I was grabbing a horses collar... she let me walk her home thankfully.. amazing dogs
My staffy is bat shit crazy compared to Danes. She’s 3 years old and still acts like a 4 month old. She’s a really happy dog although she think us not giving her more than 3 treats is animal abuse
What a wonderful man with his beautiful adopted Dane, so lovely to watch your calm friendly demeanor and this magnificent dog. So many Danes needing a loving home out there. Please see Dane rescues in your area, they are truly amazing companions 🥰
That dog was turning more heads than Kim Kardashian at an all boys school....also I love how much joy dogs & babies bring everyone. He got bombarded with compliments & all that wholesomeness brought a smile to my face lol
Can we just mention how having a beautiful dog is such a good feeling? Like when people gawk at my dog I always feel so proud cause you see how people live your dog like you do. It just feels nice and I’m sure all dog owners feel the same
@@HoodrichShinobi oh that actually must be so rad. I get unreasonably giddy when people coo at my dog, I can't imagine having an equivalent reaction for your kid.
People tend to forget that most malls in the United States are pet friendly. Cash was so well behaved. From a sd handler prospective, we greatly appreciate people as responsible and respectful as you. I love watching cash
I'm surprised that there was hardly anyone afraid of him. When I take my German Shepherd out to public places here in the UK, so many people get scared and literally almost run away from him lol. This is despite how calm and friendly he is and looks.
@@getstrongby4038 My mum before our german shepherd died was walking our dog and people would cross the street when she was walking on one side (it didn't happen all the time but it did happen)
Are they scary to pet or it's not really advisable to let someone pet your dane? Edit: As a stranger btw not as an owner lol.. ppl might roast me saying why are dogs scary to pet?
He literally looks like a freakin HORSE, yet sooooo Beautiful. Wish my dog was this good - my dog would be trying to lick, jump and smell everything and everybody~
We own a 110lb Dutch Shepherd and have taken her a few times to our local (pet-friendly) Canadian Tire store. She's as chill and well-behaved as Cash and tends to attract a LOT of attention due to her golden brindle colors (tiger stripe). Good job with Cash in the mall - such a gentle giant...beautiful doggo. Very much enjoyed your vid.
@@KarloKrawallo Ah, yes. The typical mind reading animal lover that think they understand people despite spending more time around Animals then people.
You mean all dogs well behaved?.. Malls are occupied 99,999% by people. Yearly by millions of visitors. What kind of mall do you visit to only find small percentage of people well behaving to make this kind of statement? lmao
I love that some people asked for permission to take pictures, such hood manners. Whenever I bring my dog out people go straight away taking pictures and such without permission. The thing is that she gets real nervous around large groups of people, so I sometimes have to tell people off.
I wouldn't be able to resist, I'd want to pet him right away! I did the same thing to another Great Dane when we visited the Santa Monica pier. They're like big babies who need a lot of lovin!
Beautiful dog. Thanks for letting me know Great Danes were inspired for the cartoon character Scooby-Doo. I use to watch that cartoon all the time and Cash's face is a splitting image of Scooby-Doo, never knew this.❤
Cash is so cute, he's just taking everything in looking around making sure everything is cool. All the people wanting to take pictures of him was so funny. I bet he is the best magnet for females when you are out lol. My service dog gets tons of attention when we are out. Even with his working harness on people still try to say hi to him. Everyone thinks he's so pretty. He's a black and white Staffordshire terrier with 1 brown eye and 1 sky blue eye, so everyone stops me and asks me about him. I wish more places would let dogs inside, but I completely understand the concern. Not all dog owners are able to handle their dogs properly. If something happens with a dog and another patron of the location the owners of the location and the dog owner would be in trouble, as well as the dog.
@@tauffee00 you know nothing about dogs and their ability to feel people's emotions. EVERY SINGLE PERSON in that mall is staring and focused on the dog, he senses it, he is constantly looking around at people looking at him. This is not a small dog that goes unnoticed, this is an abnormally big dog, a great dane and he is catching all of the malls attention. I'm sure you know better with your extremely intelligent counter argument tho 😘
french girl at 7:35 said "that's not a dog that's a whole pony!" lmaoo but what a wholesome video! it's nice that they let you bring your dog in with you, my local mall forbids it unfortunately.
A lot of places don't allow dogs which I can appreciate as a Service Dog Handler because (at least where I am) a lot of dogs are not trained at all and bark at my Service Dog which distracts him- Thank you for respecting that your local mall forbigs it!!
I love how I'm not even at the mall and I can STILL smell the Auntie Anne's through the screen...once you smell that and Cinnabon, you know you're in for a treat And not sure what's more amazing...the priceless reactions or the fact this mall has a JCPenney that's actually open 💀
HOW did no one get all 'cutesy' with this dog?! I would have instantly gone to the highest pitched voice and cuddled that dog, with permission, as much as I could, he's too cute!!!!
15:08 The Janitress was so impressed she said "Ándale qué grande!" Which means "Oh my how big!" I actually laughed at that part, congrats for having trained such a well behaved big creature!
This had made me realize how positive people are towards dogs even huge ones. People generally love dogs even big ones, but only a few years ago, a dog as big as that would be treated as a threat.
Yeah when I was younger and still lived in Iowa I had a Great Dane named George, he was the greatest boy ever! My siblings and I used to ride him around the house and he was very protective. He also loved to chase ducks around but if he ever saw they were getting hurt he would leave them alone. Sadly he passed away and o never got to see him again but I wish I could. Great Danes are the greatest breed of all but sadly they aren’t bred where I live 😢
I had a Dane/Mastiff mix. She was about the same size as Cash. We had a company installing a new A/C in our house about 10 years ago. She was in her crate for the first half of the day. When the regular in and out of the front door ended we decided to let her out to stretch and go outside for the restroom. One of the installers came down the hallway, saw her standing in the living room area and did the exact same thing that kid did.
I was a great dane dog sitter for years and absolutely loved them! Because of my experience, and the loss of our husky, we got a great dane puppy and love her. They are goofy but quick learners and lovers. Great danes are awesome!
My uncle had a Great Dane that was this size, and he was truly one of the sweetest dogs I've ever met. He loved cuddles, and once I got down on the floor beside him and used his body as a pillow, he wouldn't let me leave. So many people are afraid because of their size, but they are gentle giants.
