I started the 100 envelope challenge in January. I'm halfway done. I should be done by early May. Then I'm going to start it again. The goal is to try and save $12k-$15k this year. Congrats on completing this challenge!

Most of the time, I have a plan for bigger challenges, but for mini challenges, I use a picker wheel to choose if I save it or sink it and depending on which it lands on, I have another picker wheel with all my savings accounts listed and another wheel with all my sinking funds listed and I let the wheels decide for me.

I’m so excited for you on completing this!!!🎉 Also- when house searching, I highly recommend having a home inspection done by someone you hire outside of the lender. The lender will have one too, but by experience, my first home they missed so many issues. Second time around, I had an outside inspector come in, in addition to the lender’s. They found some foundation issues! The lender’s inspector didn’t even go under the house! So just a recommendation if you hadn’t already considered it- not trying to be bossy or anything! 💃🏻 🕺🏻

Congrats on completing the challenge Daisy! So excited for you! I'm doing the 100 envelope challenge too but I'm putting $100 a week plus any rollover. Lord willing, I'll be done halfway through December even though I'm going to try to get it done quicker if I can. I feel like by only doing $100 a week, it takes longer but it isn't as big of a burden on me. No matter what happens I can most likely squeeze out $100 to save and if I really can't I do what I can for that week. Right now that's my only challenge because I just started cash stuffing/budgeting again recently so I'm still building up my sinking funds and emergency fund. Thanks for posting and sprinkling us with a little motivation!

$100 a week is $400 a month. That is a great amount to save every month. It doesn’t matter how long it takes you, all that matters is that you make it to the finish line 😘

I have watched a few people do this challenge, it's really enjoyable to watch! If you do this challenge again, I actually suggest overstuffed or rounding up for less bills in each pocket. It also means you get more out of the challenge. Very cool nonetheless!
