I remember reading a while ago that companies don't usually include black or brown because they're considered 'negative colours', in other words they believe they'd have to have bright colours for positive reactions from children.

The creativity for kids brand is usually seen in dollar stores, whereas regular Faber Castell kits are found in regular stores. Creativity For Kits is basically their cheapo brand essentially. You get what you pay for.

Agreed!! While I personally prefer her hair longer (but not, like, _long,_ if that makes any sense. LOL.) with the blonde in it. (I just think that it looks sooo good that way!) Sika has gorgeous, thick hair and she can _totally_ pull off soooo many different styles as is evident here with how adorbs she looks with this lil’ pixie cut she is _totally_ rocking!! (Honestly, it looked cute shaved too!) You go, Sika! Go girl! LOL. You rock all of those hairstyles!

The problem is these kits are targeted at children and children as a group never use the black or brown. They're poo-y and boring colours. Children would use all the colours and have the brown left. They don't tend to outline, more whichever colour they drew the image in is the outline left once they've coloured in. Parents would also dislike black as it is often a stainy messy colour.

I feel like company's don't include Browns, blacks or whites is because they don't appeal to kids and they just want to have bright colors so that kids will be more interested in the kit, that is my theory and thought of it anyways.

I actually don’t mind the paint in the 2nd one. You’re meant to put a white base coat on your rock, just like anything you paint that is not white. If you want your colors to be vibrant, always use a base of white

Farber Castell is actually a pretty good quality brand here in Germany, especially pencils, ballpoint pens, coloring pens and pastel colors are top notch! They also have a lot of artist quality products

I’d like to see a series where you fix the crappy craft kits and make something better out of them with better supplies. For instance, redo the cactus rocks with your own brush and paint, maybe add some polymer clay accents, etc.
