I loved Casino. From the amazing adaptation to the excellent direction from Martin Scorsese to the standout performances from Sharon Stone, Joe Pesci and Robert De Niro, this film had all the makings of a (relatively) modern classic. The production end (like the cinematography, camera work and locations) were just as good as the score and the writing with all these complex realistic characters coming together. Although this isn’t my favorite Scorsese film so far (it’s still Goodfellas) I think it currently ranks in my top 5, maybe 5th place and that might change because I still haven’t watched Cape Fear, The Aviator, The Irishman or The Color of Money yet. If any of those films are worth reviewing on the channel, please let me know.
