A tour of Casio's CT-X3000 and CT-X5000 portable keyboards. Powered by the revolutionary AiX sound source, the CT-X keyboards will ready to help you sound your best. For more information on the CT-X series visit: www.casiomusicgear.com
Same here. I've only had it a couple of days so I haven't dived in to tone editing or creating original rhythms yet (which is one reason I bought it) but the sounds straight out of the box are amazing!
I'm happy to hear that Casio didn't reduce the amount of preset sounds and rhythms on the CT-X3000. Only these are removed: line out jack, the 15W speakers, microphone input and category buttons Good job!
Wouldn't be nice if Casio would make a Midi Sound Module Containing All the AIX sounds? Would be a good choice for a musician who doesn't need to buy the CTX keyboard but wants the AIX sounds Only.... Good Idea? Maybe? 😁🤟
Dunno if anyone gives a damn but if you are stoned like me atm you can watch pretty much all of the new movies on instaflixxer. Have been watching with my brother these days =)
Hi Mike, could you do the in-depth review on the CT-X5000 as soon as possible...thinking of purchasing one very soon and I always value your tutorials. Thanks in advance, John Winiarski
Mike I watch your reviews all the time because they are clear, concise, to the point and entertaining. I need to buy my son a keyboard with quick sampling which of the entry level keyboards would encourage a 10 year old boy who plays the guitar and sings?
QUESTION : why did they move the headphones jack to the back panel? I love the WK 3800 (Which is still in service, with the original keys, and volume knob) that had the phones jack under the keyboard within easy reach to the far left. I could plug in and out without standing up, reaching over, and there's no cable dragging across the keyboard. Sometimes engineers improvements turn out to be anything but an improvement!
Hello Mike, do you hear differences in sound quality of the lower vs the higher CT-X boards ? I really can't. Plugged my CT-X 800 in an amplifier and there is no difference in comparison to 3000/5000. I'm no composer and no producer. I just play keyboard for myself and for fun. The CT-X 800 seems now to be perfect for me - but better sounds would be an investment I would go for...
I don't know anything about playing keyboard or piano, but I'm thinking of buying the ctx-3000. Do I need to buy any cables along with the keyboard? Or do all the cables I need come in the box?
QUESTION : does the CT-X series use the SAME volume knob as the WK 7500 ? The knobs go bad and I've replaced several. In fact the keyboard is down now because 4 gigs after replacing the knob, with a CASIO replacement ... it's bad again. The CT-X3000 and CT-X5000 look like great replacements, but again, if that volume knob is bad, it takes a week to ten days to fix. Not acceptable.
Eagerly waiting to know when these will be available in India n whether Indian tones n styles will be added. Are they available in neighbor countries like Malaysia, Thailand, Srilanka, Dubai, etc. currently ?
Ive been waiting for so long. Now its available, im orderining the ctx-5000... Sir Mike, will you do videos and tutorials on deep editing features of this board like what you did to the previous ctk and wk. thanks alot
Hi Mike, I have just bought the Casio CT x3000 and wondered if Casio still do updates for it? Like new voices, backing rythmns and the likes. If so do I go to their official website and do I need to register my product first. Thanks for any help you can give!
casio should light up the buttons once press for better performance while on live.. you'll be mislooked in the LCD.. specially the category, split, layer, and other buttons
Sorry John that is not possible on the CT-X3000. The headphone output disables the speaker system. This is one of the advantages of the CT-X5000 as it has both the headphone and 1/4" outputs.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DEtBrtGvezg.html I created this video using copy and paste hidden function it will be usefull to create intro, ending, and all the variations 1, 2, 3, 4 with fill in
Hi Mike, is it possible to feed a stereo line signal (e.g. synth) into CT-X5000 and output the external & internal sounds altogether through the speakers? Thanks!
Great presentation Mike (as always) ,I have ordered a CT-X 5000 but wonder If Casio is planning an AiX powered 88 note weighted Stage Piano replacement anytime soon for my ausome PX 560 & if so will it still have 256 note polyphony & Hex layers both of which I'd hate to lose ?
What do you expect? When running 30watts total batteries are no where good enough or supply enough power. Would rather take 15watt speakers over 6watt anyday.
When I get a CT-X5000, nothing against the regular factory demos OR the demo artists, but I am going to show the LOT of you, HOW this keyboard can be exploited to it's FULL potential!

Some of these explained in the video but here is the list. 1. Speaker System 12W vs 30W 2. Direct access Tone & Rhythm Categories on CT-X5000 3. Connectivity - CT-X5000 adds 1/4 Outputs and Mic Input 4. Assignable Modulation Button 5. Registration buttons are backlit on the CT-X5000 6. More system effects presets on CT-X5000 7. Editable System EQ on CT-X5000 8. CT-X5000 will not take batteries
No instruments demo ! I take it as Casio saying the 200 extra sounds vs X700/800 are of no interest. Probably only "variations" of some of the 600 sounds of X700/800.
hi I just bought the ctx 3000 .. ive put a couple songs in it and have mixed my songs... problem is it wont save my mixer settings. if I change to a different song that I did and then go back to my original song the mixer settings are gone... would you know anything about this. thanks please respond
Haha you guys got owned by a 19 year old that proved your PS-X3000 isn't properly weighted. I hope consumers that have purchased your product on the promise of a weighted keyboard to closely match the feel of playing an acoustic piano file a class action lawsuit for dishonest marketing representation of the actual product.
