another Casio edifice but this time with the added bonus of Bluetooth a whole lot of useful features packed into this one for under £150 what's not to like? #casioedifice #chronographwatch #watchesformen #casio #bluetooth
Thats good to hear, I didn't really get into the edifice range until about 4 years ago but the ones that I've had in the collection or for review purposes have all been very good, I would have no problem recommending them. Thanks for watching.
It's so refreshing to see a RU-vid review of a Casio Edifice watch which isn't that tiresome, sodding "Casioak" that the entire online watch community seems to have a rabid bonk-on for.
Certainly a ton of features packed in to these as always with casio. This one will be staying In the collection for a while. Thanks for watching my friend.👍
Nice watch ive actually got the ECB-10 on my radar too. Definitely some great watches to be had in the edifice range, & so much choice. Thanks for watching.👍
Haha yes self charging lume is kinda cool shame that it only just outlasts the backlight though 😅 With the app as well I think these would make a great travel watch. Thanks for the continued support my friend.
@@somewhereintimewatchreviews I totally agree that the app is cool and functional. If the lume was better that self-charging thing would be sweet! And, I'm always happy to support brother. Love your content!
Thanks Bob yes lots to like with the edifice range, I would also like to track down one of the Oceanus range too the one that you have looks so sharp. 👍
Great review! I’ve been really tempted by an Edifice EQB1000 recently which is pretty similar to this one but without the digital displays so a lot less versatile. The bracelet does seem to let these higher end Casios down a bit which is a shame as otherwise this is a lot of watch for the money.
Thank you mate, the great thing with the edifice range i think is the amount of choice & value thats in them but I would like to see them start to add milled clasps on bracelets I think that would finish the package off nicely. Thanks for watching.👍
Ah the black PVD one. Nice 👍 no it's not strange to be anxious to get your new watch 😉 I know only too well that feeling of anticipation & scouring the Internet for any pics & info you can find while you're waiting......thanks for watching. Enjoy your new watch👍
Not for me bro but I can see the appeal. 100% agree about the pressed clasp and should definitely be looking at fitting milled clasps for the price. Good review as ever 👍👍
I'm a bit if a fan when it comes to these but yep it's time that things like milled clasps & solid end links became more of a standard feature at this price. Thanks for watching bro 👍👍
Strange to hear the Bluetooth drops out I have a square g shock with Bluetooth and an app for my phone and it’s never let me down?? Nice watch though the edifice line has some excellent watches 👍🏻
Interesting, as I mentioned in the video this is the second Casio I've had with Bluetooth the first one was the Alphatauri F1 which I had to reconnect pretty much everytime that I wanted to use it, this one is by no means as annoying as that but it does drop out of connection occasionally. But still some great value & specs with the Edifice range 👍 Thanks for watching.
@@somewhereintimewatchreviews yeah definitely mate and to be fair most people probably won’t use the Bluetooth every day so not a deal breaker really, they are still well worth buying! Thanks for another great review 😀
It's definitely a cool watch but yes not for smaller wrists, as for the clasps I know they're kind of what we all know & love about Casio but I do think its about time that even they need to look at things like that once you get to or above the £150 point. Thanks for watching mate.👍
@@somewhereintimewatchreviews you're right Adrian. We can support each others projects and lift each other up AND the two trolls can stay under the bridge playing footsies with each other. Just let them be I guess. 🙊oops did I say that out loud? 😂
Hello there! Could you please let me know how to turn off the Bluetooth mode in the watch? It is continuously blinking. Am afraid it'll drain the battery. Thanks.
Hi there is a "airplane" mode that you can set to disable the Bluetooth. To do that set the watch to timekeeping mode on the dial at the bottom of the dial then press & hold button B for (the middle button or crown right hand side) for at least 2 seconds an aircraft icon should show in the top right display. That will disable the Bluetooth. Any problems here's a link to the manual manuall.co.uk/casio-edifice-ecb-20d-1aef-watch/#pf6
Pretty cool watch, but the negative display, not a fan of those, but being that it's analog too that's what I would focus on as far as telling time. Very cool looking watch, like the orange accents on the dial....150 pounds is quite a bit of loonies for me, this one doesn't scream at me in that regard so wouldn't be getting one, but can't deny pretty cool watch indeed.
As cool as the Bluetooth connectivity is it isn't essential the watch will work without using it so I guess your right about limited usefulness. Thanks for watching.
I don't know about the ios store sorry. But if you've got the watch it will have come with a QR code for you to scan which if you've got an iPhone should take you directly to the app.
No it's not a "smart watch" it has Bluetooth for the world time & stopwatch & alarm functions which are also available through the mobile app. But not for calls, emails, messages etc
@@somewhereintimewatchreviews i understand... I am just looking for a "not so smart watch". Something that looks like a regular watch and just beeps for incoming calls / messages. Not easy to find 🙂
Ah right! I think that there's some of the new Casio G shocks that have that function I'm afraid I don't know the reference numbers for them though, if you have a look on the Casio main website you should find them on there if they do exist. It should also give you a list of dealers that stock them near you. Good luck!
Ah that sucks! Well from my point of view it wears very well it doesn't feel top heavy & it fits the wrist very nicely for your reference my wrist is a 7¾" I would think if your wrist size is 7" or above it will wear & feel about right. There is always the option of putting a different strap on, I have had this one on nato straps & fkm rubber & they all work very well with it as the head of the watch isn't overly heavy if I remember correctly without the bracelet on it weighs in at about 75g. Hope that helps!
It was advertised as having a solid bracelet & I have no reason to doubt that, I couldn't find any joins or folds in the links or the tell tale signs that a join had been polished out like you get with a Seiko5 sports bracelet.
