Great video. Thinking another reason the Mudmaster is pricier than the GA1000 is simply cosmetic. Side by side, the fatter Mudmaster kills the Aviator, in my opinion.
Thanks for the great video. You convinced me to take a deep look at the GA-1000 Aviator. The Mud Master is so HUGE it can some times seem a little ridiculous. The Aviator is still a big watch but within reason. Mainly, I do a lot of night ops and the low light feature on the GA-1000 absolutely cannot be beaten (not shown in this review). I bought the Aviator. Thanks.
GG-1000 is in my opinion way more pretty than GA-1000. However, I would love Casio to develop a watch in GG-1000/GWG-1000 shape, price around or little more than GG-1000 and without all those sensors like altimeter, barometer, compass etc., but with Tough Solar and Wave Ceptor Multiband 6 features. GWG-1000 is a perfect watch, but way too expensive for me and GG-1000 is fine regarding its price, but does not have features I need. What's your opinion guys on this? Would you buy a watch with features of an AWG-M100 but in a shape of GWG-1000?
I wanted a Tough Solar / Atomic G-Shock yet ended buying the GG-1000. After a month, I'm happy with my purchase. I bought the GG-1000 because I like it better than the GWG-1000. Besides, it's slightly lighter, smaller and a lot cheaper. CASIO released the GWG-100, which is Solar/Atomic, for a similar price to the GG-1000. Yet, I still like the GG-1000 better. For the time being, I calibrate the GG-1000 with my phone (indirectly, GPS/Atomic; very infrequently needed). Whenever I need to change the batteries, probably, I'll get a new G-shock.
I had my GG- 1000 on layaway the price was $310.00. Then next day after putting it in layaway I got a call from the jeweler and they said that they just found out that they were going out of business and if I wanted the watch they’d give it to me for $170.00 ! So I did get it and I love it the only thing I don’t like is the negative display,it’s useless in dark conditions other than that it’s great !!

Have a GG1000. I don't work in an occupation where I need a high robust watch but the comfortability of knowing it can easy go through anything at wok is phenomenal.
I bought old OD Army green. It’s an older model but I wear it almost everyday in uniform and don’t have to take it off during meetings where smartphones, Bluetooth, smartwatch devices are prohibited. Straight old school digital analog 👍
Just ordered a GG-1000-1A3CR on amazon yesterday. I needed to replace my old G100 which still works after almost 10yrs of rough use(Construction, landscaping, hiking, fishing, swimming...) the GG-1000 is a huge step from the G100 but I think its worth it.
G100 is a classic little guy. I like the simplicity of the face. Definitely fewer features in that G100 module and must agree it is a huge step going from G100 to GG1000. The rubber strap on Masters of G are really good, often with carbon fiber This is really cool but I wouldn’t do that on a Master of G, unless you can switch back easily (it would look good on a Rangeman I admit!
I got mine as a early Father's Day present it's a great watch I'm so glad u made a video on some of the features because the print in the manual is so damn small lol. Big watch, small manual, why is this?? Lol

I hope Casio will make a bigger size of this Model, the size of G Shock GWG 1,000 Mudmaster.Also the bracelet/band will be a resin band , a beige color or light brown.
Just got mine for Christmas but the analog doesn’t match the digital and I did what you showed to do. The second hand does its revolution like it should but the minute and hour hand never ever move. It’s like they’re stuck on 10:17 and never ever move. Taking it back tomorrow I guess and see if I can’t just exchange it. Good video also!
HI, great review! Are the bands interchangeable between the GWG1000 and GG1000? Just by looking they seem to be the same band with the exception the GWG1000 strap has a hump / tab keeper at the bottom.
While I seem to have reset my watch to the correct time via this video, not mentioning which button you were pushing at a given time was confusing. I got lost after the locking it in the 'TIME' mode. Why did the mode arrow have to be moved after setting on TIME? Although my watch shows correct hands time, the mode arrow is now pointing at the space between TIMER and ALARM. Is only the 'MODE' dial off now?

Bought my GG-1000 Mudmaster a few days before Christmas 2017. Mid February 2018 the watch stopped keeping time correctly via the analog hands. Took it back to the store in Denver and they reset it so that the digital and analog times would match. Within 3 hours it was off-time again by more than 3 hours. Now I'm being told to send it back to Casio. Really don't want to wait 2 1/2 months to get it back. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS PRODUCT. $320..what a waste of money. Think I'll just throw it in the drawer and call it a loss and a lesson. No more G-Shocks for me.
How do I fix my mode wheel it shows a different setting than what I'm on (when I am on stopwatch the mode dial wheel is pointed toward something else and likewise for every other setting)
How to reset this model mudmaster gg1000 ? I can't fix that analog needle second . When I want press button adjust that needle second won't stay at 12 so that digital second & needle second can't be same . What I have supposed to do ?

killerbios y'all so, 1) you calibrate the hands to match digital time and they are correct but then over some amount of time they become incorrect again? 2) once they do this, does the offset get progressively worse if left uncorrected?
Is there a way to increase the brightness of the negative display. The numbers & letters in both locations of the negative display are very dim. Yours is much brighter than mine.

At around 3:40 of video, I show how to swap the displays by pressing A and B buttons simultaneously. Maybe that would be suitable for what you want to accomplish

if it steps around the circle in the proper spacing when you change modes but just points at the wrong item each time, then yes, sounds like need to calibrate its position with analog hand set
@@JaysAndKays thanks for reply. I have set the hands correctly. Tho the subdial hand skips past the TIME to WT. Iv been searching online & they all pretty much do as u do, but mine seems to be so out of alignment. Eg- WT should display my city London but nothing. ST shows alarm. TMR shows London, so this cant be right can it?! I basically need the hand to stay on TIME not pointing at top near TMR. I fear that when i got the batteries changed recently somehow its messsed up the subdial!

Eduquiles, for myself, I do not buy the fakes. If you must depend on your time piece, then an authentic G shock is the way to go. Also, the ethical arguments about the illegal aspects and sources of counterfeits.

Eduquiles what 'technical' argument were you looking for to prevent you from buying a fake watch, which in most countries illegal, by the way? The fakes are often unscrupulously forwarded as authentic to an unsuspecting buyer. The GShock fans I know show no love toward the shiite that is fake G.
I was actually hoping for you to say something that differs OG from replicas other than "in original the pointer can go anticlockwise" lol If this is the only thing that differs from a replica im getting a replica FTW i wont pay 10x more just to go anticlockwise. And about the ethical point, i mean, they are all made in the same country. The extra money you pay on yours aint going for the kids in china neither for sure my friend! :D
JaysAndKays I just got it yesterday, like the button works just fine but when you pull on the button by the O rings the but slides out some but stays in and is able to spin around and it is completely water tight still so I assume this is natural
In the video at about 3:15, you will see the same. Sounds like you are describing WT mode. Press the mode button until you get back to Normal Time mode. But in this mode, the top will display either time or calendar date... to toggle between the two choices, press the Adjust button as you can see in the video at about 3:04
