I'm impressed what Casio has done. I have two MT-G models and really like them. They're a far cry from the days you could pick a Casio up at your local department store with your lunch money. I just find the jump from the MT-G to the MR-G steep, for essentially a titanium build. They claim the inners are upgraded too. Both MT-G and MR-G come from the same excellent assembly lab. The all titanium build is quite attractive though, just wish it wasn't double the cost over their MT-G models.
I love both the MTG and MRG analog 2000 series G-Shocks. I dislike how the MRG does not have an A button. I also dislike how you can't move the hands away when in stopwatch mode. It's hard to read that subdial with the hands in the way. It's also 1 mm taller than the MTG 2000.
Is there any difference in the application of DLC between these models? I know the B5000 uses some proprietary titanium mix underneath, but do you think they have the same level of resiliency to daily scuffs?
I call mine "The Attention Watch" 😂😂 so... I own 2 Tudor BB58, 1 Omega Seamaster and.... NOBODY asks or says anything. As SOON AS I SNAP THIS BIG BOY ON 😂 I feel like a stripper! Everyone watches and asks me about it 😂
whats your wrist size ? CM or " you can tell if you dont mind. it doesnt looks so chunky on you.. im now in deciding between this and B1000, which is mid size MR-G they called. its 46mm and very compact. however dial doesnt looks as attractive as B2000 :D
@Jaroslav Ondruš Solar-powered means replacement of the solar battery at a certain point in time, even other parts. The mechanical automatic watch will also need the replacement of parts, of course, servicing is a must for accurate timekeeping. So, what makes you think solar-powered timepieces cannot make it to a lifetime? It's the same with mechanical watches. The point is all needs service and replacement of parts at a point in time.
Both are nice...I have the square on order...found a 20 percent off deal..round model too heavy and bulky..crown would dig into my wrist...great review
Congratulations on these two watches! A Mrg is always on my mind. I have the mtg b1000, and I am not afraid of measurements of mrg, only the height. The almost 17 mm thick of the mrg get along? greetings from Spain.
Beautiful and very expensive smartwatch... I say smartwatch because Casio no longer knows how to do anything other than Bluetooth...!! What a time when Casio mounted GPS on their MR-Gs!! a pity
No wonder you chose the analogue MRG. The fact that the dial on the new MRG is the same as in much cheaper squares takes away much of its luster. The new MRG looks like an overpriced titanium square, nothing more.
