@@jeff346 The military use them, the batteries have been known to last about 5-10 years or whatever. Many people have became lost for a long time at sea or in Jungle or desert, because they had their Casino they always knew what the time was. If you would like to know where I stole the joke from search: 'Trigger's broom' Bit of an inside joke I knew only a small number of people could understand. 1❤️Bro
@@JJ79_ words bro! man I been looking for comment as such. Save the watch but waste the plastic. Coulda done many more watches if using the corner insead.
It won't, the plating flakes off with time. Because they aren't made from metal, it's all just plastic. It's about as well chromed as you can chrome plastic, as opposed to garbage watches which flake instantly, but eventually that whole sandwich of adhesion promoter, carbon, copper, chrome, it all fails from one of the inner layers, chemical corrosion.
@@Abdelrahman76674 I currently have a AP watch but had 3 different color ways of this model Casio in high school very beautiful Watch I’m just to get my hands on that rose gold mode Casio 😢
I have this EXACT Casio watch I bought at Walmart almost 2 years ago and wear it everyday for work. I’m an commercial electrician and work in all kinds of environments and it’s been abused. Still works flawlessly, original battery and backlight are 100%. Best watch I’ve ever owned for $25
@dliguori25 some of watch will last for 2 or 3 years for me, but casio really different... I'm not bragging, sorry if I do so, I'm just impressed by casio that really reliable...
Casios are for practical people who need tough watches for normal life. All you need a Casio with an automatic timer and a stopwatch and you can work out like a champ. There is no fiddling no disturbance from other features or messages calls etc like the new smart watches. I'm almost 40 I wear my old Casios to workout and for motorcycle rides. No matter what a Casio just keeps going......I've replaced 10 yr batteries and the watches still look new.
i use screen protectors for my cheap casios and other cheap watches because i collect them so i like to keep them in good condition, i bought 6 pre cutted screen protectors for less than 3 dollars.
@@barnabyworthington5353 i never buy new expensive casio except g shock and protrek but both really don t need a screen protector (mineral glass and protection help a lot). Many cheap casio become expensive with the age due the rarity, i have some, but it s different and i i always spent a little for buy them because i buy when they re not so hard to find, and for this reason i use the screen protectors. It s easy 👍 buy 2 of them? could be a good thing if you will sell one in the future, but i just want to use them without worries about the screen Between g shock and other casio i have about 30 models.
I fetched a 1997 Gshock dw003 from a japanese thrift shop. Bezel was destroyed and the straps were non existent. But its module is pristine and it's still running. Just need to find replacement bezel and strap to ressurect a legend.
I own a 15 years old Casio ,it was a present from my mom back when I'm still a kid... The screen is full of scratch and even the battery never get changed but it still works
You know, it's actually pretty smart to do that because you end up scraping your watch off of so many things without realizing it. My smartwatch got scrapes so easily. A screen protector on a small watch screen might seem like not a big deal, but with a watch that cost a few hundred dollars (and up), it's nice to protect it from permanent scratches and knicks.
I've got the same Casio and considering the case is painted resin plastic, aesthetically the screen is lesser of its worries when talking of wear and scratches.
