This is the best gear channel on youtube the real. Practical. In depth. Gear channel. It deserves more than it gets. The real ones know. Thanks for all that you do. Remember to have good fun. Thats the point of it all in the end.
SPANISH: Soy de Chile, y este teclado es un icono en este país, es un teclado muy usado por grupos musicales del género de Cumbia, es un muy buen teclado. Buen vídeo ;)
Casio is great for fucking around and just genuinely enjoying playing music. If you get a Casio with the mindset of it actually being insanely good or whatever you’re going to be disappointed. But if you’re like me, a person who just likes having fun then you’ll most likely enjoy playing a Casio keyboard. That being said, this keyboard definitely sounds pretty cool
This is the video I wanted! I have one of these and it's an awesome synth! The A2 Wavetable system was next level, and has some of the coolest unique sounds I've heard from a Wavetable Romplr. The only downside? The WK-1800 is LOUD It will clip ANYTHING. Even powerful 24 bit recording can be clipped by it (set your recording volume to about 60-80% and it should be fine.) The WK-1800 is very loud though. It doesn't really have a "quiet" setting. It has "thin" and "loud af" But that Square Wave, Excellent. Thickest Saws ever too.
Great review . I made a huge mistake when someone sold me one for $25 about 8 years ago . Then sold it for $75 . Now they go for upward of $250 here in the states !
I have this one with a floppy drive. The power jack was broken so I installed a PSU directly to the motherboard so now the Casio has a dangling power brick but it works!
Id like to see all of the styles from these old CASIO keyboard up through to the CASIO keyboards of today created with 3 intros 3 endings 4 fill ins 4 variations for korg pa keyboards and Yamaha keyboards.
That seems a surprisingly effective and versatile little synth engine in that, less clunky and seems to cover a greater range of sounds than one would expect, is it the ZPI system or a variation on that do you know?
My guess is that it's the generation immediately before ZPI. From what I can tell, the ZPI keyboards in the the WK range are the 3000 series, but I'm just guessing and so I'll defer to G-Man on this!
