It never ceases to amaze me how these guys always brought true ALBUM SOUND to their live performances; to the point where many of their LP's were simply cut from recordings of their live shows. I LOVE CASIOPEA!!!
the guy not only plays bass brilliantly, he looks like he was born to do it; a great musician and showman, and Akira is pure poetry on the drums; he makes it look so easy, which of course, it isn't I've been playing drums since 1967, and I want to play like Akira when I grow-up...
I love this performance so much. Its just perfect. This set is coming up to 40 years old now and still were all listening in awe by how much these 4 awesome artists were fucking cooking like fuck that night!
全員、すごいけど、リズムセクションが半端ない。当時、世界最高レベルのコンビだったじゃないかって思う。 Sure! all members are supreme, but rhythm section's performance is unbelievable!!!. Perhaps, at that time, one of the best combination of all the world I think.
Mario kart, mega man, etc
the guitar solo at 3:36 is so good, the whole song is groovy and happy and then it ends with this fight for your life solo ughhh soo good, gets me so hyped
This is the perfect intro to casiopea. A shot of the ocean then of clouds passing by. Then the tempo speeds up as we see the band and they're about to take us on a ride and they couldn't be happier.
Why have I missed this great band? How? Every musician is amazing. My bass brother is killing it. I have to hear more of them. Amazing!! Encore! Encore!
this live performance by Casiopea especially Akira Jimbo's drum solo that make me want to learn play drum when I was in elementary school. After almost 30 years I still love this
@@ratjar7025 i guess he didnt but i did. after listening casiopea's music i was inspired to buy a bass. i think tetsuo is one of the most talented bassist of all time. along with jaco pastorious, andy rourke and paul mccartney
Never in my life did I think I would see this! The fact that these dudes were straight SHREDDING under the radar! I love finding old gold there is nothing like it. Put this man up there with the likes of victor van Wooten and marc miller.premium top top tier bass playing! Bravo
I've loved these Japanese guys and their music since 1980, highly skillful individuals playing Japan-technology instruments making the best jazz made in Japan!
Issei Noro is incredible. He's insanely good and he was way ahead of his time in terms of technique. Very few people in the 80's were playing slap guitar and very few people are playing fretless guitars like he could even now.
Yeah!!! an even bigger secret is that guys from Casiopea and T Square (other great Japan secret) two of Japan's best fusion bands for decades, have formed a newer band called "Trix" check out blu-ray and CD of "Evolution"
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wBD1_mrRUIk.html Casiopea and T-Square face off, and then form double band and play each bands best songs
great channel when i get sad. casiopea always the coolest band ever, not just their music, but lot of attraction they made on stage, awkward and funny, but incredibly talented
I encountered Casiopea when I was in junior high school 1990, and never looking back. Casiopea is always my number one band. And the beginning of my adventure in fusion jazz music. No other genre amused me better than fusion jazz .
that effortless, happy-faced, plus those dances while playing a complicated bassline Tetsuo Sakurai did still amaze me for my whole life since i knew this band from my dad's Casiopea Live Performance DVD way back then when i was still a little boy
Ever since I first saw this video, 1988, as an occasional drummer, I could never forget the beat Akira Jimbo made. And tried to copy that. And failed. Awesome drummer! What a drums solo! And a great bass solo as well! And of course, a great band!
i think all of the instruments add their own strength in this genre of music. without any one feeling "right" it would fall apart. Synth player has a tough job of making up for the vocalist and he does great!
i've played guitar for over half my life, seen a lot of artists but his playing is incredible. I can repeat that part a lot of times and still discover new things. it's not he's struggling to manage it, and putting all effort into it, he's having fun and expressing himself. it's not a game, he and the band are in their own bubble, their own vibe, it's beautiful. they're all on each other's level, top class.
Any one here who likes Tetsuo Sakurai's bass work should check out the youtube clips for the "Gentle Hearts Tour" that he did with Greg Howe g, Dennis Chambers d, and Akira Onozuka k. It is wonderful music. This is great too! I remember listening to this group in the past. They were fun!
Nintendo! Nintendo, it’s Marvin. Your cousin, Marvin Berry. You know that new sound you’re looking for? Well, listen to thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis!!!!!!!! and to this day the soundtrack of Mario Kart is legendary.
