What a hell!! this video is what exactly I was looking for!!! I've got Casio cts 300 and cakewalk but just facing a problem I could not connect them together. Although I was searching for how to do that online, because this keyboard is a quite new model and some people use other DAW app, I could not solve my problem. Great video Jeremy! Just for those wondering, you can also connect your Casio keyboard to your android phone and use some great android DAW apps (like Audio Evolution), if your phone has a usb c port.

This was a great video but the Audio Interface is a bit expensive. Is there a way you could do a video on how to use a Casio/Yamaha arranger keyboard. With the intro, etc. I see you doing chords in your left hand and then every so often pressing buttons on the keyboard I'm gathering to change from different parts of the song. Maybe you could pick a simple song that everyone would know. I have a Casio WK245 but I gather that most Casio's and Yamaha's all work pretty similarly. Cheers

Your video is great! You as always have done a perfect job to simply explain the complex things. Could you tell us some other bit of information: is it possible to play midi notes from DAW on the keyboard's speakers? I saw, you can set up not only midi in on the DAW but midi out to the Casio keyboard. Can you control the keyboard's built in sounds by the DAW?

Nobody explains things like you do and you really break it down step by step for those of us just starting. Are the steps much different with other keyboards, like the Casio CT-X700 or the Yamaha PSR-E363? Is the Native Instruments free software .. like Komplete Start, compatible with all keyboards? (Wondering where you can get more free sound downloads.. That's what Google is for, right? ;) )

I recently bought a CTS-300 and couldn’t find a video for this thanks.

Just a specific question, does the speaker of CTS300 and LKS250 the same in terms of power and quality? Or is LKS250 better? Trying to decide between the 2 and I prefer the one with pitch bend (CTS300) but if the LKS250 speakers are better then I'll go with that. Thanks!

Hi, Jeremy See, have you ever had a technical problem when you connect your CASIO TONE cts 300 to PC? For some reason, my PC(ASUS windows 10) does not recognize my cts 300 so that I cannot choose MIDI input on the cakewalk app. I used to connect them easily. since I saw this video. Hello and thank you for doing these videos. I'm new to this. Question: Do I need an audio interface when using a CT-S300 Casiotone? I connected the Casiotone to a laptop via USB. I get piano notes into the DAW -- and hear the notes coming out of the Casiotone speakers -- but I can't hear anything coming OUT of the laptop speakers or OUT of the Casiotone speakers. After hours, I'm still nowhere. Your help is greatly appreciated.

I'm a keyboard novice (guitar player) Does this focus rite unit act as a midi controller? Or do you need separate cabling from the keyboard to the computer that I'm not seeing here. Also is the 4i4 unit the best one, or can the cheaper 2i2 unit accomplish the same thing? My guitar rig uses the DIN plugs, so I'm a little unsure of how you're controlling cakewalk from the keyboard ;o)

Hi, Jeremy. Nice channel and very useful for eternal beginners as myself. My issue with that cakewalk software is that it "captures" my audio and I'm not able to listen anything else except sound from the software (no youtube, no videos, no games, no nothing), so if I want to follow and play along another song (as I usually do), I'm not able to. Do you know how to avoid or fix that? I was reading some comments in forums and they said you get that when you have a single soundboard or something (things I don't actually understand). Any help is welcome because I had to return my new midi controller because of that.

Hi Jeremy. I have a Studiologic SL73 Studio midi controller, that I mainly use to control my Korg PA700 and it works great with it. I wanted to try some iPad piano apps, so I bought a cable that is USB type B, which I connect to the SL73 and lightning at the other end to connect to the iPad. I have a few piano apps already so I tried them. I could not get rid of some noticeable latency though, even when I turned the setting to be as low as possible. Any suggestions? Please let me know what you think, when you get a chance. Thanks. :)

My primary work will be music production but if this casio comes with midi option and standalone keyboard then I will go with this... Please let me know about latency... Please talk about the difference between using a midi controller and a standalone synthesizer as a midi controller ( ofc I know that midi controller don't have their own sounds or speakers as compared to a synthesizer,but apart from that what r other differences???
