OMG, SHE'S THE GIRL FROM HEY MONDAY?! I wasn't a fan or anything but I remember "Homecoming" very well. Wait, are people who have already had Record deals allowed to compete? Sounds a bit unfair to me. Especially considering that she won.
+Estefanía Izaguirre From what I've seen, you can compete as long as you aren't under a contract during the time you are on the show. Dia Frampton was once signed under a record label with her sister (Meg & Dia) and currently there is an ex-member of Liberty X (a popular British pop group during the early 2000s) competing on the British version who is being considered the favourite to win.
It's the drummer's merit here. She just sang in the regular rhythm of the original song, and the drummer improvised those drummings as per the rhythm of the vocals in the original song.
People hate on Cassadee claiming that she only won because she was already famous and had plenty of experience performing. The difference between the Voice and other talent shows is that this one does not require you to be an amateur to be a contestant. And so what if she's famous from being in Hey Monday, or Rian Dawson's girlfriend. Hey Monday got really big from a shit ton of hard work and talent and potential, which is why Pete Wentz signed them.
I agree with you, Cassadee didn't win because she was already famous, she won because she was great and America voted for her. Brianna Cuoco didn't get voted through and she was well known before because of her sister. This isn't American Idol people, its not about the looks.
You're right. The Voice mostly auditions people who have had experience in the music industry and performing but haven't managed to get a big break, and they try to give the winners the best recording contract and promotions that they can.
Completely agree. Not to mention, she ended up stepping completely out of her comfort zone when she got a bit country, so it wasn't completely her element. Also, one of her few issues was her constant nerves when performing, so plenty of experience or not, it was still a hurdle for her to jump.
Totally agree. The voice it's not like the other singing competitions that the auditions are open for everyone, if you notice each one of them are't picked randomly, they're famous on youtube or won a famous talent show, so non of them are unknows. of course fans helped her and christina, but this doesn't mean they're not fucking talent! I mean turn four chairs is not an easy task!
Well hey Mondays top song has several million views. So no..you would not be the only one. Not sure why everyone things they weren't that popular. My friends and I loved Hey Monday
@@pato20995 uh it still sounds great but okay. If you really have nothing to do ffs. Imagine being this bored. You really are ridiculous, it’s honestly sad
I love that Rian's there! And his reaction when the judges turn around makes me smile every time. They're so freaking cute together. I absolutely love Cassadee and Rian.
Did anyone else notice that the part where they show Adam clapping his hands (1:23), is actually when Cee Lo turned his chair for Cassadee? Go back to 1:05 and look at Adam
+Giuliana Nakamoto Thats when Cass was singing the part of the song " your to late as to referring to him turning around last and she was already Torn by the other 3 judges pressing the I WANT YOU BUTTON lol
TheZitrionRay 2.0 calm down princess, the video isn't monetized. Did you get an ad? no, you didn't. Soooo, if there are no ads, then he isn't making any money.
Why is everyone hating because she used to be in the band Hey Monday? She wanted to be a solo artist and that's why she came to the show. She also chose a different genre to explore and grow her music career which is why she chose Blake as her coach to learn from him. She wasn't singing Hey Monday songs on stage, she was broadcasting her talent as a musical artist
As somebody who listened to Hey Monday in my grade school days. When I saw this aired back in the day I was watching to with my mom and I said, "This season is over, shes going to win." And she did.
I met her a few years ago in the UK, and told her I remembered watching this performance, she looked shocked someone from the UK mentioned it! She was so lovely and has an amazing voice.
Dude she played in my hometown, Westfield Massachusetts. Seriously small concert on the green in the center of town but easily the best concert I've ever been to
I like how everyone loves her from this one fuking show. no one gave a shit when she was in Hey Monday. been listening to her for years when hey Monday started.
What you said makes absolutely no sense. Try again dumb ass. Where in my comment does even say anything about me "not being happy" about her success? I swear, theres always a 3rd party random ass that always has to put their 2cents. And they never make sense. Fuk off.
First of all, I always make sense. Second, you might not have specifically said you were unhappy, but your hostility implied you are. Third, because the comment I replied to was to no one in particular I'm not a third party! Nice try though.
So? People who are just now finding her are allowed to be new fans. No need to act all condescending for having known who she was prior to The Voice. She's reaching a whole new audience now, a lot of people aren't into the type of music that Hey Monday was. I've been fans of some artists for 5, 6, even 7 or 8 years, but does that give me the right to be condescending towards people who have been fans of whichever artists for only a few months or a year? No. It's amazing that she's drawing in all these new fans with this newer sound. I'm not into rock/punk music, so I never would've heard of her had it not been for this show.
i remember being the biggest hey monday fanboy back then. i was so devastated when they split up, but when i saw this audition, i cried some proud, happy tears. i still do from time to time. she deserves the world
When I saw her I instantly had a throw back to hey Monday days 😭 my emo days came back like a flash back 😂 she was a big part of my childhood honestly so glad she is doing better now a days ❤️
What people don't realise is is that it doesn't matter their fame before, its their talent ❤️ I had a pleasure of meeting her and she's such a sweetheart and cares so much about her music and fans
such a heart felt and amazing performance!!! I was CRAZY and blind not to see what a beautiful soul Cassadee Pope is! I LOVE this performance and Cassadee Pope is an angel!!!!
I thought I saw a man brought to life He was warm, he came around like he was dignified He showed me what it was to cry Well you couldn't be that man I adored You don't seem to know, don't seem to care What your heart is for No, I don't know him anymore There's nothin' where we used to lie Conversation has run dry That's what's going on Nothing's fine, I'm torn I'm all out of faith This is how I feel, I'm cold and I am shamed Lying naked on the floor Illusion never changed Into something real Wide awake and I can see the perfect sky is torn You're a little late I'm already torn
To me, it is probably great to know that it isn't just the band, that her voice is amazing as well. Sometimes artist get lost in a band and we forget that the lead vocal is not only part of the band but just strong as well.
+Coverdrivegirl yeah all these people saying this introduced us to her are pretty ignorant given she already had worldwide hit singles with hey monday lol
Joel Hiemstra Only to ignorant peoople like you who dont know music did she become more known than she already was. Even my dad knew who she was and hes stuck in the 80's when it comes to music.
Jack Breh Okay but there are more ignorant people like me than hey monday fans like you. And by the way i did know her before the audition just stating facts.
