Where is Cassandra going? Now that Tangled The Series has concluded with the finale Plus Est En Vous, we have to discuss the ending of Cassandra’s story. Now that she is leaving Corona, what is the fate of Rapunzel’s best friend? Why did she not attend Rapunzel’s wedding? And who will the daughter of Mother Gothel become? Can we just say that Raps/Eugene is the most WHOLESOME Disney couple ever? You can't convince me otherwise. Also props to Disney for having two PLATONIC FRIENDS say "I love you." that's almost unheard of in movies and tv shows. And also also actually actually props to Disney AGAIN for writing Eugene as a competent, well meaning, loving partner who both supported Rapunzel, and knew when to step back. Best Disney Prince don't @ me.

I'm honestly confused by how many people think or believe Cass is saying goodbye forever to Rapunzel. I don't think this makes any sense in any shape or form. People don't act like that. Can't you fulfill your destiny and visit your loved ones? I just assumed Cass will visit Corona every now and then and tell Raps all her adventures. It'd be rather inhuman - and I think, callous - of someone to never intentionally visit a person they love - especially when that person absolutely REFUSED to give up on you. For all we know, Cass WAS at the wedding - and then left again afterwards to continue her grand adventure.

Spoiler Alert if you haven't seen Frozen 2 like Elsa who plays charades every Friday night with her sister so that's probably the same Cassandra is doing and I'm pretty sure Owl goes back every once in a while to give Raps a letter from Cass and Raps to give owl a letter to give to Cass. I'm doing the nicknames Becca both are long names to type plus it keeps me from spelling the names wrong.

And all because we don't see her there, doesn't mean she wasn't. We didn't see Lance, Varian, Willow and Edmund either. The short was made before the series anyway. Also, all because you don't show up for a wedding, doesn't mean you never visit.

I believe Cassandra left because, Allthoug She was forgiven by Rapunzel and some others, She knew, staying in Corona would not be the Best Idea, while Im sure Cass would return if her Best friend needs her aid, I Think that She needs to do a lot not Just to earn that forgiveness from others, but herself also. I mean, unlike Varian, She did more harm to diferent locations in comparison to other antagonists in the series. So, while I do Think She went out to find somewhere construct her own life, while maybe She might not forget her past from Mother Gothel, She aint letting that past define her, She also knows that there are somethings that She needs to do in other to forgive herself and find the type of person She wants to be and She bevieves she's destyned to become, not as Gothel's Child, but as her own New self.

Every knight errant needs a place that feels like home and people they love to return to after adventuring and for Cass that can be Corona It matters to me because I just really don't like tragic separation endings... or endings that devalue loyalty/bonds to imply only living for yourself is a good idea you know.

Okay, this entire arc (and the show as a whole) NEEDS to be in Kingdom hearts! Oh god the parallels!!! The Wayfinders and Vanitas! Riku and Sora! God whatever may be happening with Kairi! It would fit so perfectly in this series!!!

bellringer Yeah that isn’t a good idea, Kingdom Hearts usually adapts or includes things from the movies and this makes sense, movie’s reach a wider audience than TV shows do and Tangled is no exception in this regard so it would just confuse people to include this storyline. Adding that this in the season 3 finale and that idea is even more ludicrous since asking a newcomer to watch a hour and a half movie is one thing, but asking someone to watch over 60 episodes of a half hour long show to understand the plot of a VIDEO GAME is just flat out unreasonable.

As long as they find a way to create 3D models of the characters introduced in the series (e.g. Cassandra, Varian) in the style of the original movie. Otherwise it would be jarring seeing 3D models of Cassandra and Varian in the style of the show next to the models of Rapunzel and Eugene/Flynn (who as seen in KH3) looked exactly how they looked in the original movie. Lastly, it will come down to Nomura and his team if they want to reuse the world again in a future KH game (be it for the story, the themes that the world based on the film has with the KH game in general, Sora's growth, variety etc..). Plus, they have to speak with the showrunners of Tangled the series themselves. Same can be said for Big Hero 6, while the show and KH3's story of Big Hero 6 are set after the events of the movie, both of them are set in two different continuities given that the latter in KH3 involves the return of the original Baymax made by Tadashi brought back by Dark Riku until Hiro, Baymax, the Team plus SDG helped restored it, while the former now has the team officially graduate from SFIT in the Season 2 finale. Lastly, IF they bring the original Baymax back from the portal in the show it won't be like KH3's story.

The Cassandra haters were proven wrong and lost. Cass wasn't beyond redemption at all, nobody truly is if they are still willing to find their way again after seeing what they've done or helped the real true irredeemable villain accomplish, and want to fix it. She is nothing like her mother and is better than her. Cassandra had what Gothel never did, true love and true friends that never gave up on her, no matter what she did, and she's finally free of the moonstone and its harmful dangerous effects that corrupted her like a dangerous drug which needed to be withdrawn from her body and mind or else she would have never stopped.

I was a bit unsatisfied with the plan to take back the castle and the whole fight itself. You had 4 thieves who evaded capture countless times, warriors who’ve seen countless battles, an alchemist who manipulated the entire kingdom including the princess to get what he wanted and threatened the rulers then successfully took control of the kingdom... so it’s clear a stealth operation would be most successful. Yet all these people do is storm a castle, get trapped in another dimension, and throw useless potions at the enemy, and some other stuff.

I felt this same way. All of these powerful people on team Corona and yet the final villain was beaten by being smacked on the back of the head with a frying pan. That should have had no effect on Zhan Tiri. There was no magic enchantment or magical item embedded inside the pan. This series needed a few more episodes before the final. I though this show however, was an 8/10 would recommend. :)

This show with the Tangled movie is the best thing Disney has ever made! Best Disney couple! Best Disney princess! Best Disney price! They are definitely my favorite!! 💜 And how they made and matched the story all together, you can rarely see an incredible match between a movie and its series cause it’s hard to make! Like HTTYD for example So it was definitely a masterpiece!!

Regular Guy I hope so too. Even they were two characters endings I couldn’t have pictured anyway. Varien being the royal alchemist which I’ve been picturing as his redemptions end fog a while. Although I'm pretty basic with my love, I just love how they reverse the roles of destiny as an ending. They could've easily sent off Eugene and Rapunzel together on an adventure. Then ended off with a scene of the kingdom waving goodbye with Cass next to her dad. It would've made a great way to sell out to make a mini spin-off series while also keeping Raps' idea of what her destiny was to her in S1. Instead, they reverse the roles of Raps realizing that her destiny was (partly) to be Queen of Corona one day and Cass's destiny out somewhere in the world (basically what Raps preached about in S1) AND not sell out.

I like the character of Cassandra. She has never been a bad person, but has been manipulated. I always believed she will get back to her good ways, and I am happy it happened. I really like such characters in movies or cartoons, who are generally good, but turned to bad ways due to some reasons. However, finally they realize they are wrong, and get back to their good ways/fix their mistake.

I like Cass' story. It's all about destiny. And she's able to find her destiny in a healthy way. And it's because of Rapunzel's attempt to save her was the reason she was able to do that. This is true friendship. 😊

Cassandra leaving Corona was a good choice because after her betrayal to Rapunzel, she needs to figure out who she is. There wasn't any time in the series where Cassandra self reflected (big let down) and instead goes on her journey. I really want to see more of Cassandra though. 💖😔

I predicted Cass would go on her own journey after being redeemed. My explanation was that she wanted to find herself. Her whole life there were titles being placed upon her “Daughter of the captain of the royal guard” or “Lady in waiting” and she needs to earn a title herself on her own accord Edit: Lady in waiting, emphasis on waiting

Every knight errant needs a place that feels like home and people they love to return to after adventuring and for Cass that can be Corona It matters to me because I just really don't like tragic separation endings... or endings that devalue loyalty/bonds to imply only living for yourself is a good idea you know.

I also think she still didn't feel right staying in a place that she harmed so much too. I think not only does she want her own destiny and life, but she wanted to spend time away after causing so much trouble for them.

Yes, Cassandra definitely needs to step back and clear her head for a while. She's had so many things clouding her mind and heart for so long, beginning with the idea that she'll never be loved unless she earns it and ending with everything Zhan Tiri stuffed in there. By working alongside Zhan Tiri the way she did, Cassandra allowed herself to be violated in a very deep and personal way, and whoever you are it would be understandable if someone were in serious need of a bit of head clearing after being used in that way. If she can recover from that she'll have a pretty solid foundation to become some sort of superhero.

This show really exceeded my expectations. I didn’t get into it until season 2 where I would watch clips here. I thought it was gonna be about raps fighting the same villains here and there but I was so wrong. The songs are just as good if not better than some from the movie. My favorite (nothing left to lose, let me make you proud, everything I thought I knew, waiting in the wings, etc) It has a story to tell and a good one. I will really miss this show. Hopefully people in the future will come and love it as much as I do I stayed off RU-vid until the episode was uploaded on Hulu 😭 I didn’t want spoilers

"Her story ended on a cliffhanger..." it's completely true bcoz no one knows where she's headed... is she happy to leave ... does raps want cass to stay.. or she doesn't need cass in her life anymore... bcoz in the song life after happily ever after... flashbacks are shown of what happened on her coronation... and cass isn't there... and when she says how everyone's life ended happily... she doesn't even mention cass...i wanted them to spend time together... so that they can be just as they were before... once again... i wanted her to stay....

I think Cass had to leave so she doesn't stand in someones shadow anymore. She needs to get away to begin a new life. She has a good heart and that will help her to find her real destiny. I always feeled sorry for her because Rapunzel was always the one who won. If Cassandra stayed in Corona she would not be captain of the guards and I do not think that she wants to be a servent anymore. It's good that she goes to places where she is new and where she does not need to prove herself. I really want to see what will happen to her. She deserves a happily ever after.

@Curtis Eayrs I would have been devastated if Cassandra had died. Because as bad things she did, she wasn't a bad person. Of course, you can't justify her behavior, but you should try to understand it. Because I can imagine that it would be the same for others. It is not easy to have to prove yourself all your life and to live in the shadow of someone. If you then learn that your mother did not love you, you can easily be manipulated. Because what do such people look for? Love and acceptance. I'm happy you understand me, too! For some people the world is just black and white. They know no other colors and have not yet considered that there is more than the horizon.

I was just rewatching the songs (to try and get over the show ending) and in ‘With you by my side’ in the part where their shadows were separating, Cassandra’s shadow looked like it could’ve resembled the outfit that she was wearing

Yeah all throughout season 3, it felt like Cassandra was a female Sasuke. Rapunzel felt like a female Naruto for wanting to bring a friend back from the darkness. Both succeeded and then said friend leaves to travel the world.

Yeah, that confused me a bit too. But remember that in an earlier episode, he specifically chose to leave because he didn't think he could being himself to fight his daughter in defense of the Kingdom, and thus (believing he'd be a liability) retired as Captain of the Royal Guard.

So...I dunno if anybody who's on Cassandra's case after the finale knows what it's like to have crippling self-worth issues, but let me tell you, it makes you do and say things you regret. Everyone deals with it differently, but I've seen a lot of people handle it like that, even me. And I can't achieve even what a quarter of what Cassandra could, so it must've been a different breed of frustration than what a lot of us with these issues have faced. I agree there are several things that could've been arranged differently and more tactfully, but after being a "Steven Universe" fan and seeing how the writing and pacing in that show went, coupled with how Disney normally treats their TV series (( take for instance, "Star VS" )) and how well that goes for those shows, I'll take this as a win. Also, who says that off screen the King and Queen didn't say "oh by the way Cassandra, you're like, hella banished from Corona"...ha ha. She very well could've been spared severe punishment by Rapunzel's nepotism, but since Varian's fine now, I don't see what the issue is. My two cents is that he was locked away because he was still a threat after he was subdued. Rapunzel understood his motivations, but unlike Cass and Rapunzel making up, Varian was not in a make-nice mood at the end of season 1. So if left unchecked, he might have tried some other shenanigans. So at least he cooled down in the cooler? Ha.

I loved the finale to Tangled the Series/Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure and also Cassandra finally redeeming herself and going on her new journey to find her destiny. Thank you so much for this video Isaac and couldn't agree more I'm longing for a spinoff series centered on Cassandra or a CG Special featuring her.

At the end of the Naruto manga, the character Sasuke Uchiha (who had spent significant time making bad choices, siding with the enemy, deteriorated in part due to others' manipulation and his own trauma history) says he'll leave his home and friends/family to see the world with his clear head and open eyes but he will return someday. Cassandra is the Sasuke of the Tangled series. Originally an ally to our hero, she is plagued by her past and her own inadequacies and eventually caves to dark impulses and bad choices, even at some point betraying and willing to hurt/kill everyone to achieve her goals... But at the end of it all, she finds peace and makes amends before choosing to leave and grow independently... And I firmly believe she has every intention of returning to Corona after figuring herself out.

for me this was wonderful i truly feel there a lot more story for Cassandra just waiting as i fell in love with her since the start of the series. i also believe she will visit her friends ever now and then and even write to them. i'm happy how the show end as it was a very great way to end it. while i doubt it will not happen i would love to see cassandra story after everything that happen and what she will do now and will she ind her own destiny.

Another reason why Cass wasn't at the wedding? Well, recall that Pascal and Maximus special about Rapunzel's wedding? There was no one like that at the wedding there (plus Rapunzel had her short brown hair there too). So the writers probably wanted to avoid creating a few plot holes.

I am a devoted fan of this tangled series from Watso Videos! I think that if she ever missed Carona she could always visit. Nothing is stopping her from doing that. She needs to find her way. Find her own place in the world. She’ll always look towards the future. But she’ll never forget her past. As a song from my little pony says; “but my past does not define me. Cause my past is not today.”
