Nice! I have a B&O Beocord 5000 cassette player and it worked perfectly just some months ago then I haven't used it. Just moved it. For some reason when I turn it on, now the capstan roller is spinning when power on? and when I press in a tape it tries to play and 1 sec after it just shuts off? Any idea why?? All the best!
I also tried to do this, but 99% alcohol evaporates very quickly from the cotton swab, as a result - most of the tape is washed through a dry cotton swab. How can I additionally moisten a cotton swab with alcohol while rewinding the tape?
to prevent the tape being sucked into cassetteplayers you could buy a nagaoka degausser or what device/thing were called - not shure but there were a device you demagnetised you tape recorder or the plastic and heads - On thing thou never should thouch the recording head and it works perfectly on all old taperecorders -I dont know if its still sold on the market but i had one 30 years ago
