I feel for Amanda. The hurt that I see in her looks a lot like the hurt that I feel when I speak up at my job and it’s taken the wrong way or seen as “aggressive”. Because I stand up for the quality of our products and for customers, my name is dragged through the mood and my reputation tarnished. When I was younger I used to see myself as an Amanda. Usually this comes from being misunderstood. What I have learned along the way is it is best to be unapologetically yourself and own your misgivings than to attempt to figure out why people have misconceptions about you. Life will be much easier this way and people would at least know what to expect from you. Amanda’s problem is that she has shown herself to cry and complain about people’s reactions to her. We all have things to improve but if you know your own heart, accept your journey and work on it. Just don’t cry about it.
