As a retired professional music critic (45 years experience), you are almost a unique talent and incredibly authentic. Never lose these qualities. A suggestion - not every record label necessarily exploitive. An excellent agent can dictate stringent terms in a music contract, so that you can keep totally control of your music. A major record label would be crazy to try to change anything about your approach to music.
Great comment. I agree about potentially good music relationships. However, in today's world with RU-vid and Spotify I feel he can keep things close to the vest. Just like Tom MacDonald, he is very successful, and his family is his music team. They work together doing mailings and management. I just subscribed here, I just found the reaction community when Chris started really blowing up and I am an Appalachian girl , old girl now 😂but his music touched me so deeply that I wanted to see if it was my Appalachian roots or if other people would feel it too.
