@@DontYouLookAtMe. And... any friendship is better than none, isn't it? Wilson was a dear friend. He didn't say much, he didn't do much, but... he was THERE
i've watched this movie so many times that i'm conditioned to cry every time i hear this song. whenever it comes on during the movie (which is Very Often) i just start sobbing
This music is so melancholy, and perfect for such a film. It captures the aching solitude of Chuck Noland's life on the island and the despair he feels on the ocean, still going nowhere, after the volleyball drifts away.
The last scene is the most emotional for me. He stands in the middle of a crossroad and has to decide which way to go. This samples the whole life. Everyday, we have to decide which way to go, but we will never know what is beyond the horizon until we start going. And only then we will see what life brings us
For me, I cry for both Chuck and Kelly when they're back together in the rain. Knowing that they'll never be together is the most impactful part of this movie, for I relate to this part of the film.
You found him! Wilson Wilson Wilson come here I'm over here come back Wilson I'm right here no don't leave me again nooooo Wilson I'll miss you Wilson I'm sorry I'm so sorry Wilson don't leave again 😭
This soundtrack as well as the soundtrack to it is simply magnificent!!The plot, the game of Tom Hanks in combination with music evoke emotions that give you goosebumps!!
I've realized - that the way this movie used the "theme" music over and over .... Its almost like its the emotional "glue" that enables me to almost remember (feel) the entire movie. This movie contains so many good parts. One of Hank's all time best.
Avengers Endgame brought me here. And before anyone else comes I want everyone to know right now that we lost a great hero. A friend. A father. A son. And most importantly a legend. Tony stark. R.I.P,😢😭
I once had a best friend that was a volleyball. His name was Nosliw. I, like chuck, lost Nosliw to the ocean in San Diego. We were tanning on the beach, having some brews, when he decided to go for a swim and got pulled out by a rip current. I can still see his little head bobbing in the waves as he drifted away. The seals played with him for a while then sent him adrift. I can only hope that he landed in Japan since that was his favorite culture, he always wanted to be samurai. He always said, he would change his name to Nosliw-san if he ever moved to Japan. Bon voyage and Arigato gozaimasu dear friend.
Recently watched Cast Away for first time in years and this goddamn song made me appreciate the movie so much more both on Wilson's scene and Kelly's. I love this damn movie.
Wilson is not dead he got washed up the shore and found by a bunch of kids. They played it all day and all night long and they both grown up with it. and sooner or later his old buddy friend came for a visit. And they got reunited. ❤
@@lastboss4268 Nothing wrong there though... I mean, depending on your perspective, it's either Wilson and Bing Bong are both real or else they're both imaginary. However, you can't see one as imaginary and the other one as real, unless you just don't understand the meaning of these characters. They're both an imaginary friend from and for the protagonist.
This song is perfet for the movie. It reminds us of how lonely he was in that empty island in the middle of the Pacific ocean. Tom Hanks made us cry even when he stood in front of those long roads in several ways in the end of the movie. If Wilson is drifting across the ocean, from now on he is only drifting in his life too
This was posted on Jul 11. 2014. Four years later on the exact same day, my friend was killed by his father, along with his mom, and the dad killed himself after killing both of them. Looking at his photo while listening to this song makes me not want to live anymore. Makani, I'm sorry.
this song makes me think of everyone i ever loved in the past and all my friends i had in school so sad i had to leave them after graduating high school, this song will always make me remember them and i cry after leaving them too.
