That first point, where Rosamund talked about how the PoV and narrator style are essential to WoT is exactly right, and one major reason why I did not expect the show to be a great adaptation. I do not even know how a visual medium could even begin to capture that style of PoV. Respect for the actors.

These were really great questions that pulled some fantastic answers from the cast. I've been stoked by all the interviews that dropped this week but I think this set was the most exciting. Awesome job.

I just found this after watching Season 1 & 2. Yes i read all the books as well. The series is quite different than in the books in a few perspectives but im just happy that ppl are watching The Wheel of Time whether they read the books or didnt...or if this possibly makes them want to read the books! GREAT SHOW so far!! Looking forward to Season 3!❤❤
Rand Al'Thor's internal struggle and lonliness is a representation of the struggle every american Vietnam Veteran lives every single moment of their lives. Robert Jordan was a veteran of that war and he takes a great many small things from it. Battleing the Trauma suffered on an absolute island. Josha. I would highly suggest to watch the opening scenes of the Movie Apocolypse Now. Perhaps you can gleen something from the pain of that internal battle.
0:33 I had no idea Rosamund was voicing new audiobooks for the series! That is really exciting to hear and might be final motivation I need to consume the source material in between seasons of the show.
In the books, it is clear that Moraine is a royal and was an heir to a big throne after the killing of the King by the Aiel for his sin, and it might have been the reds through Eladia that stoped that or some other power play, but Moraine was raised as a royal then could channel the power, and was very powerful channeler for her time.
Yeah, we might get to see some of that now when the future seasons are able to go a bit deeper into the characters. Thanks for watching the interview and commenting! :)
No the tower would have loved to put Moiraine on the throne, but it was Moiraine herself who didn't want it, since she is one of the few Aes Sedai to know the Dragon has been reborn, and so she dedicated her life to that instead. She would have done well as a monarch though, since she could play the game of houses as good as anyone in Randland.
Any fans who are wondering about Matt, Dònal Finn. I’m British and I’ve seen him in SAS Rogue Heroes, rest assured, he’s a fantastic actor, he will be a great Matt

The actor is fantastic and does play a great Matt. My problem is how the show runners are trashing the original storylines, evidently thinking they can write a better story or even dialogue than a New York Times best selling author. Matt was my favorite character in the books, but they have completely debauched him, turning him into another Hollyweird perv in their own image.
Really interesting questions, JB. I’ve watched numerous WOT interviews now, and this one opens up more dimensions of the acting experience in a light and upbeat way. Marcus always seems to look bored in every interview, but you actually elicited a good smile from him, bravo. Thank you x

Hi! No, not part of any briefing I got at least. In my opinion it is more a sense of not being an overly ”curious george” and asking tabloid questions. Dónal is not who should answer questions regarding the actor before him, even though it would be interesting. IF I would have had the chance to speak with the showrunner on the other hand, I would feel like that would be more of s fair thing to mention both these actors by name and ask what kind of challanges the switch posed for the production :) Thank you for watching and commenting!
Failure has 50 excuses, but never the truth, it hurts too much, better for people to believe something that is easier to stomach, their was no internet then. They always wanted Aes Sadai's on thrones makes it so easy, Rand carried a Heron Marked sword, so he did not play the game of house, Moraine and anyone born that high would learn to play the game before they could learn how t run.
I love the show, what is real fascinating was the author did a real good job with human psychology relating to power and influence and as you probably know much of the battles are real battles that are part of human history.@@JonatanBlombergInterviews
Sorry to say that but I didn't even understand your questions. I assume as a RU-vidr, you need to be aware that you're supposed to articulate well and speak well. You not working on the language of your questions beforehand seems like a lack of responsibility on your part.

I had not read the books when I did the interview, even though I problably wouldn’t have phrased it like that if I’d had. I do ask Marcus about the difference for his character in specific though! Thanks for commenting!
Many people got twisted about discrepancies in LOTR too. I read the Wheel of Time books as they came out so many years ago, but I do remember many many boring passages ! Film tells stories differently. Wheel of Time the Series is way more fun to watch than the books, I think they've used their medium magnificently ! The whole cast is good but casting Rosamund as Moraine was pure genius.
These people destroyed Series and Fantasy World l have loved (STILL LOVE) for 30 years. May Dark One taints them all. Good job Johnathan, you are a true professional interviewer.

I’m sure we could find a whole bunch of shows we are in complete agreement on as well :) thanks for a nice talk with a stranger having opposite views but still being able to find common ground - there is hope for the world :D
Did they? I mean blame the writers, directors and showrunners all you like, you have all the right to that and freedom to dislike/hate the show. But actors don't tend to have much creative freedom/choice in how they act in a show or movie. Hell, two of these actors weren't even in the first season, so they didn't even do anything yet (I mean, the season has been filmed of course, but not like it has been released and you saw to be able to be disappointed about/angry at their pottrayal of their characters.
