For me, this was an important record at the time. It was like hang on a minute, there’s something really exciting happening in British music, and it’s not Just Oasis and Blur, but a real movement.
25 years on and this song is still a powerful mind blowing musical sandstorm that will always be timeless. Cast were an amazing band and deserve more respect. Cheers! 🎸✌️
The timbre to die for. A caste / league of their unique own. Have just realized I have still been enjoying them for 30 years. So relevant in 2024. Regards from Ukraine.
I've got a sandstorm blowin' in my head I'm seein' many colours but the only one that's coming through is red And it's stoppin' me dead tryin' to make some tracks But my feet are feeling like lead Stop being bled, stop being bled Oh my things aren't the same Anyone could see that if I stayed much longer I'd be tamed We stopped playing games I'm not pointing fingers but I'm not taking all the blame Playin' all your games, taking all your blame I said oh no, I don't even care I guess I'll be seein' you I guess I'll be leaving you today We're just not a pair I know you've been trying but I just can't bear to tell a lie' Tellin' me all your lies Tellin' me all your lies Lies Let me take you by the hand Try to understand, You walk me to a land, Try to understand, Are you nothing but a man? I've got a sandstorm blowin' in my head I'm seein' many colours but the only one that's coming through is red You know how we feel, we can't go on pretending And we've just got to fix the deal Gotta make it real Gotta make it real
OMG! This is heavenly especially the guitar riffs. I love this band. Deserved more recognition. OBE of the best bands of the 1990s, up there with the Verve, Blur and Oasis
I totally forgot about these and omfg they are loads better than I remember how they didn't become just as famous as Oasis is a mystery they're a class act 👏🏻👍🤯
“Don’t even care guess I’ll be seeing you and I’ll be leaving you today. We just aren’t a pair know you’ve been tryin but I just can’t bare to tell a lie” Belter John
Saw them first time around in Huddersfield supporting Beautiful South and Lightening Seeds, when they came on stage all sound cut out in 3rd song think it was, was sorted quickly, seeing them tonight in Holmfirth. Cant wait
I'm looking for a song between the mid 90's till 2005, I always thought it was Supergrass but it's not. I only remember the end of the song with the lead signer (a young man) singing haha-haha what-a-ta and then a men choir reapeting haha-haha what-a-ta with a depper voice, thanks a lot
na! oasis have a Cast vibe more like. John Power was writing and performing with The La's well before anyone had heard of Noel and Liam Gallagher. It's kinda impossible to sound like Oasis anyway when they themselves sound so much like the Beatles so if anything John Power took inspiration from John, Paul and George (no Ringo cos he couldn't even play the drums let alone write music).
