The emerald waters of the Caribbean Sea, some traditionally baked goods from a Dirt Oven and some Dasheen ice cream, all found at one place: Castara, Tobago. So join me my Trinibago Vibes peeps as we take a trip to this gem on our sister isle of Tobago, as we get some bread, take in the beach and try some ice cream.
There is no number to call to place your order, so you’ll have to make the drive to the Dirt Oven which opens on Wednesdays and Saturdays,.
The ladies will take your order from 9:30/10 in the morning and you’ll have to collect it around 2:30-4 in the afternoon.
Prices are:
Hops is $4 TTD (60 cents USD) per hops, so you can order however many you want
Pumpkin Bread, Whole Wheat = $20 TTD ($2.95 USD)
Bhaji/Bhagi (Spinach) Bread = $21 TTD ($3 USD)
Coconut Tart/Pone = $10 TTD ($1.47 USD)
