Beautiful work. I make my own bricks for around the yard but they definitely don't look nearly this nice lol. I just used some of that foam insulation stuff to make forms and use cheap ripped bags of concrete I get for a $1. It works but it has gravel in it so definitely doesn't come out nearly as nice and you have to wait until it's nearly dry to remove them from the form. I definitely want to try this style.
This is a great idea you should sell your form I would buy it . I good for when you have left over concrete that can be put to good use instead of throwing it away.
It is a great idea, but the reality of those "spacers"... sicking out on the ends of the bricks, is: They will make your mortar joints too wide. There should be a good bond from the top to the bottom, and NO PARTS of the blocks should be touching, because that will weaken the overall mortar bond, between the bricks, which will weaken the overall wall. If you want to do that spacer, then it should be about half as deep. In my opinion, based on my experience... this is the reason that blocks are not made like that, with these "automatic spacers". I want to know.... Please tell me.... Have you ever constructed a wall with these blocks? I would be interested to see THAT as a project, when the blocks are completely dry. I would also include a real, working formula for the ingredients... you put in this mixture. I do not remember seeing any small aggregate. 🙂
Fun to watch but not practical. Good carpentry skills but brick design with undercuts requires mold to be completely disassembled every 5 bricks. Your not going to build a wall very fast with this process. Still it was fun to watch.
In principle, it is interesting, but not technologically. Firstly, all the boards should at least be covered with drying oil, the second - inserts should be made slightly under the wedge, then they are removed easily and the third - for the fifth or sixth time, the screws will no longer hold their shape, these are still not screws and bolts. And finally, the finished products should be covered with a film, literally sprinkling it with sand along the edges, putting an open jar of water there and let it ripen for at least a couple of days. So the video is not made to the end)))
