Castle & Beckett bickering and arguing for 15 minutes straight 

They worked with each other for 8 years of course there was a bit of tension. They had their ups and downs like any other friendship.

@@Rayle02 yeah but to the point they needed counseling? The various statements confirming and denying the situation don't help either which is why it would be nice to know just what exactly they were like for the last seasons

100% agree, though I loved The Mentalist. Beckett and Castle had far better intellectual/mental chemistry. They're on the exact same wavelength, thinking the same thoughts, finishing each other's sentences, finding the answer at the same instant. Their "shared brain thing" as Lanie put it. I'd actually say that Castle and Beckett's arguing was integral to their success at solving cases. Beckett never hesitated to challenge Castle's ideas head on and engage in theoretical debates with him with the goal of finding the solution in the process, rather than cautiously trusting his ideas and relying on him to solve the case for her like Lisbon. Lisbon's adorable of course, and a perfect foil for Jane. But I agree; as a crime solving partner, Beckett would definitely be the better go to. She's well balanced being both independent and an active participant, and she's not afraid to rip apart theories on her own to find the truth. Plus, Castle and Beckett debating and building theories together, jumping in on each other's sentences, and solving the case in sync, is just... *_*chef's kiss*_* It's like intellectual foreplay.
