when I'm looking at the Beckett of season 1 and 2, I cannot imagine she's the same person as in season 3 and 4. I don't know whether I like the change, I kinda liked the hard to get and fierce Beckett. Of course I want Castle and Beckett together but it's taking way too long.. Lucky for Andrew Marlowe, I'm addicted.^^ Otherwise I would've stopped watching it, now I can't.

Yes, she changed a lot, but even if you look at her in the first season compared to the last four eps (an arc in their own right) of the second you can see a big change there, which I think is just the same degree of change as between the early eps of the third season and the last few of the fourth. She's older and maybe softer - a lot of her prickliness in the first and second season came from an over-active defensiveness. But she's still guarded and private and fierce.
