On Saturday 7th September, I went to Castle Combe for Forge Action Day 2019. This is the crashes, spins and best bits from quarry corner. Instagram - @Cars_Of_Interest
Guys an idiot in the golf at the end 😂 they tell you not to overtake in a corner then karma served itself. Hope the persons OK but maybe they've learnt the combe staff know best 👌
Ummm combe staff dont always know best as I foun out at the Autumn Classic 2019... car failed to straighten up out of a corner, ploughed straight into the corn field in the middle of the track directly opposite where i was viewing from, didnt re-appear anywhere. Could have been fuel about to catch fire, the car could have rolled over and over and be in pieces, no one knew what had happened to it, only that there had been no reaction from the driver to straighten up out of the corner or hit the brakes when heading off track. Took the marshals way too long to red flag the race, way too long to get any ambulances on track, then they sent two fat guys who could hardly walk as their "Quick Response Unit" into the field. Guy died while driving hence no reactions on track. Awful actions from the staff on that occasion. Not saying theyre always bad but that was a really poor reaction.
Done 1 action day a few years ago and would never do it again. To many wannabe drivers and idiots in badly modified cars and busy sessions makes it down right dangerous same with trax.
At around 8.55, I was the one driving the blue and yellow EP3 spoon civic. He over took me, overtook the guy in the fiesta (illegally for the track day rules, no overtaking on corners) and planted it in the wall. He was getting really annoyed as I was going slower than the rest as it was my first ever track session. The fiesta dude had a chat with me in the pit lane (got called off for a towtruck) and said that he was running a grands worth of brakes so the golf would've never have stopped in time... EDIT- To all those wondering, the Civic I was driving belongs to a great guy called Hass. He buys, sells and breaks EP3s and I had a the fantastic opportunity to drive it. He has a Facebook and Instagram account called Garagep3. Check him out!
That's a nice civic! Yeah I saw he was overtaking illegally, was lucky he didn't wipe anyone else out. Should have been black flagged the moment he overtook around a corner
We black flagged him as soon as that overtake was reported, he took the black flag next time past the start line, didn't slow down and crashed. Some people never learn.
You get these drivers all the time at public action days, every session I've done there's a handful of them (check the videos) but don't let this put you off track driving. Get yourself to an actual track day, the driving is better and everyone is there for eachother.
@@Bunchofhelmets Absolutely, action days is more for shoe to be fair. Combe run their own track days which are great, also a number of organisations run some there as well, Slip n grip, BHP trackdays etc. Shame people ruin the action days because you get great cars and drivers there as well.
Smooth camera and top vid bud, Quarry = best Action Day spectating spot! 😂 Golf driver getting too excited and overtaking on the bend...they soon learn! Can we get a mini crowd fund going for the S13 front bumper? I'll chuck a few quid in 😎👍
Did many Action days at Coombe between 2001 and 2006. I see the standard of driving is still pretty shocking. Its been a while like i said, but they used to run the owners club sessions first thing and they were always the best ones to go out in.
i remember that golf crash, i was there. but just so right before the crash my brother decided he needed the toilet. i had to go with him and make sure he didnt get lost. ended up missing the whole thing
Was this a dedicated drift day. ? I want to go do my first track day in my car, but not if everyone is gonna be driving like this...feel like only a matter of time before a poor driver crashes while trying to drift
And that Ladys and Gentlemen is the Proof that a Fucking Golf will ever be a Golf. Doesn’t matter how much HP you put in or how much R‘s are in the Name...🤷🏼♂️
At the end i think he was trying to show off a bit and inexperience shows. And wow that understeer. But hope everyone wad ok probably just shock up and worried about the car!
@@mikeygti8930 thanx for the correcting mate 👌🏼 Seems i fucked up the colours completely 😂 i guess i thought of them seeing the guy in the peugot go sideways 😂
I love these days at coombe. It's amazing how cheaply modded cars can embarrass so called sports cars. But you've got to be careful as some people who have never been on a track before think there f1 drivers. Like the guy in the golf at the end. You can't see the apex till 100yards after you should have braked.
There was, passenger side door couldn’t be opened and the rest is clear to see. Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe this is another victim of trying to brake after Avon Rise and not before...
@@trollhuntersuk5168 jealous of what? There so comon as muck , I got a evo 8 rs and a r32 gtr bro lol this kid i know has a golf r with 500hp thousands spent its fast in straights but thats it evos had half the money spent with 550 and left it for dead
