Oh my goodness Raz you are amazing. I have been searching RU-vid up and down all last week and weekend looking for info on what I was doing wrong with my Castle link. Then here you are with all my questions answered so clearly and informative. You freaken rock Bro
I’ll be saving this video to watch every time I get into my esc now. Thank you Raz for all the absolutely wonderful information and knowledge you share!! You’re a good man!
Thank you thank you thank you. I've been asking for this even before buying my first Castle creations. Hesitant to purchase Castle because of the lack of Knowledge on how to use the system. They rely on the info tab to explain it but no one really know what those data curves and numbers mean when it relates to each other. Thank you RAZ for all you do. You are a Godsend.👍🏽💯
I realize this is almost a year old. However I just found it and wanted to thank you for posting. It helped further my understanding of reading the data.
Thanks man I was really asking my self how to read the log and was getting frustrated because it was nothing like they show on RU-vid and also I didn't know exactly what I was looking at and how to use the information to improve I have a better understanding thanks to you. Please keep making this kind of videos no matter how long they are. I have learned so much thanks to.
Excellent video. The only thing that’s missing is how do you know when to gear up and how to gear up that would help out a lot. No one seems to want to show how to do that. If you could do that it would be awsome
Thank you thank you thank you!!!!! You did an amazing job helping me understand. I think a lot of us needed this. Keep up the amazing work my friend 👏 👍👍💪
Great video its going to help alot of people out including my self, and thanks keep up the good work your vids are really helping me with a winter build much respect from cornwall uk
This is a great video. Thank you, Raz! You read my mind, because I was just trying to determine the best ESC settings for speed runs this past weekend! You may have mentioned it, you can also use the Castle Field Link and run a USB from the Field Link to your computer as well. I like having the Field Link available if I need to make some small changes and I dont have a computer nearby.
Raz you definitely want to use auxiliary wire Bro, so many options (Torque, Max Power, Drag Brake, reverse percentage reverse on /off etc etc.. I have mine set to turn my reverse completely off with the click of a switch on my radio & right back on once my runs over.... Great info man
“I’m going to assume your castle creations esc hasn’t burned your car to the ground yet “ ;) only half kidding I did have one burn up in flames first time I turned it on. Still using couple other ones… thanks for the video.
You did nice job man I've never even owned a computer before but I have to now thank you me and my son want to hit a 100+ and the Traxxas 8S or any sensorless just isn't smooth enough for my liking
Hey your new springs are killer! Really big difference! If I start to get loose in a Speedrun I can actually save it way more than I used to be able to. I also purchased "Perfect Pass" but some perfect @$$#0le stole it out of my mailbox after Amazon dropped it off I think because It says delivered but it's nada. Oh well, next payday and you never know maybe things will start looking up for me and I'll get to catch the dirt bag in my mailbox and I'll beat the break's off him! Got side tracked sorry. Your products are worth every cent so far, keep them coming. Thanks
I'm running xmaxx with mmx8s with 1090kv with aggressive gearing for high flying jumps. Pulling about 250-350amp peaks. Will esc handle this on the regular?
I just switched to a xlx2 and a 800 kv castle motor in my kraton having so small issues with it this helps alot but any advice would be much appreciated trying to learn as much as possible about this setup
Brilliant video raz this was great 👍 because again most people have not been doing this for really really long I mean in great life we would lol however for us nubs that wanna do what u are doing we need a bit a help I mean that’s what the sport is about rite ? So Anywsys yea really nice video sir
How do you come up with how many amps an esc can handle?? You said the xlx2 you have pushed to 600 amps how did it do you come up with that number to know what the max is ???
Great video I will be using your video as a guide to read logs when I purchase my xLX2 I’ve always wanted to learn how to read data logs. do you mess around with throttle dead band in the esc settings?
RAZ… I don’t see too many ppl programming their throttle curve rate in order to not cause power drops and amp spikes… I’d imagine you’d have lots of knowledge on that area? I watched you’re live chat with another rc guy about trying to get higher top speed runs and you mentioned staying in full throttle for a longer period of time to allow power drop recovery… have you ever talked about the adjustable throttle curve rate or predicted it your self? I do not own a castle XLX2 (yet) but being that once you reach 80% throttle, the rest of the 20% is very critical.. perhaps there’s a way to program that last 20% with an automated acceleration rate? Like you can just press the last 20% as fast as you want but the esc will actually do it at its own pace as to accelerate the quickest with the least power drop?
RAZ, @ 22 min you’re showing throttle input with perfect pass and talked about 100% throttle ….. that being said I looked at your ripple voltage which showed a Max of 0.00 volts but your mouse position indicated 0.45 voltage. Do you have your graph set up somehow to only show your ripple voltage only on mouse position? Doesn’t make sense to have a max of zero ripple voltage but your mouse showed 0.45
If you're looking for some more fun with logged data, there's a program called RaceRender that'll lay graphs of your data over video footage. It took me a bit of messing around editing the castle logs, but I was able to get it to work with them. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sU5EzdfaFXw.html
Wow this is fascinating, I want to know more about it! something I'm definitely interested in learning, how do we communicate can you hit me up on messenger?
