My buddy used to flip houses on the side. I showed him this and your comment. He wasn’t surprised and said he would personally probably need to invest another 100k into the house and if you want a contractor to do it for you then renovating the place could easily cost more than what you paid for it depending on the wiring and plumbing.
@@jimdob6528 yes and you have to make sure there’s not mold or remediate mold. The roof and the plumbing is the most important, right? I think this house will be worth it.
I walked this and was tempted as well. It’s an incredible house, though very narrow. I would love to hear the how and why and who of its building and residents
I grew up a few blocks from there in an older home. We had hard wood and stained glass all over. I remember riding our bikes by this "castle" the wall of it used to extend along the old fulton bridge behind the wall the city built. Its well hidden. If you dont know its there you wont find it.
As with most real estate, its all about the location and the details. That area is on the near west side which is the right armpit of Cleveland. The yard backs up to a 4 lane main road and the highway so you always have noise and that whole area has been on a downward slide since the late 90's. Not to mention the amount of $$$ needed to rehab that place to make it habitable because of asbestos and lead paint.
I am renovating mine in Mexico. If you need tips, about historical building techniques, look at what were doing. Good luck. Ours is 1810, your castle is older than ours.
It’s haunted like a bitch and has at least 4 demonic entities in it that will fold your ass in half if you’re not spiritually strong or have any kind of spiritual authority‼️plus a little girl and boy died in or around the premises their soul never left the home‼️ imma psychic medium I can see and sense spirit all in this mansion‼️🧿🧿🧿🧿🙏🧿🧿🧿
