Anyone remember Dracula and Death fused in Potrait of Ruin, and despite that they were both defeated and Dracula died, Death can't die no matter what? Well Konami don't remember.
Dracula is as much a prisoner as anyone. Even with his soul reincarnated into Soma, he somehow *still* manifests separately. ...Yet, without the soul of Mathias Cronqvist, how does he even exist? Is it just the man's memories imprinted now? The game explicitly states none of the duplicates within the Grimoire have souls, so it can't be a replica.
The ending is a bit convoluted, but, it's worth noting that the castlevania novel which is estabilished to happen after Dawn of Sorrow states that anything and anyone can become Dracula, even without Mathias' soul in the mix, ultimately, I think it's a combination of Grimoire Magic, the Crimson Moon Souls + the "anything can become Dracula" fact that enables him to be there, him keeping his memories is a very weird writing decision still (we knew that even when Soma became the Dark Lord in Aria and Dawn and literally here in Grimoire, he never actually kept his past life memories, so what gives?) Kinda removes the finality of 1999, but what can you do (I mean, one COULD hope that they either decanonize GoS or remove this specific tidbit I guess).
@m8.614 I suppose one could write it off as being the result of Mathias being the Dark Lord for so long. Or, more importantly, the chosen of Chaos. Of the Dark Lords, only Dracula really became one with it. So maybe Dracula the monster lives on in Chaos without the man. People might argue Soma destroyed Chaos, but he did not. He killed its manifestation within the Castle. Chaos itself is the antithesis of God - the darkness to His light, the sum total of all flaws in His "perfect" work. It has no will of its own, but it is required. Without Chaos the universe will die, and without a Dark Lord it has no agency.
There is soo much more they could do with the game tho, but still, its a fun ride. Its a shame there's not much interaction between the characters' Trevor and Soma with the rest of the cast after they are summoned especially a Soma and Dracula interaction could be added. Amazing video, thank you soo much for sharing it. I wish I could have played this game as well (cries in Android). Also, when Alucard said "Father... Enough. Die... Please die already." OMFG! I felt that soo bad it made me CRY. Alucard needs a proper break and soo much love.
Loved how it ended with a true Dracula fight. Would've been nice to see the other characters interact with Dracula, but over all this was a great game!
Lament of Innocence's Despair, maybe, the most suitable music for the finale. Someone ask for Julius or Soma, but i prefer to see Leon and Lisa in Dracula's farewell. As Soma, maybe, i wanted to see something like: "Yes, this cycle never ends, but also we have a choice and chance for hapiness. In this time i somewhere i live with my Lisa and your time come to rest. If Dark Lord will be, it's not you! Rest In Peace, my dark part! May no one else disturb your eternal peace!"

There's no game without Dracula's presence in some capacity, it's us who called him back to vanquish him again and again.
I would have liked to see Julius is the game... Anyways, this Castlevania is epic already :) By the way, thanks for all the gameplay! I think you're the only content creator who completed the game, so congrats!!!
Haha it has max 3 continues, try to record all the content in first 2 days of release without levelling too much(lvl cap99 I’m on 59). That’s necessary! After that I will record vid how-to beat bosses without continue, there are 2 videos uploaded already for ch8 and ch9
I question how this game made it through quality control, the character models look worse than the models from symphony of the Night which was made over 25 years ago!
Well... He brought it on himself. When he still a human. He is Belmont's best friend. But later, His wife (not Lisa) pass away because of illness. That make he hate the God so much for take his wife away. So he trick his best friend, the Belmont, so that he can turn into a vampire and revenge God. And after the Belmont know he was trick and lost his lover. The Belmont swear to become a vampire hunter and hunt he down, no matter how long, generation to generation. And that the start of this fate Dracula brought to himself.
@@SadAndVengeful Well, it's his lore so I don't know in detail. All I know is that after he become a vampire. He found his new love with Lisa and has Alucard. Lisa help he loosen his hate. You could said that it's one of his happiest moment in his life. But again. Lisa was blame to be a witch and was burn to death. That make his hate stronger for both god and human.

@@SadAndVengeful Ps. Don't think too much about Castlevania lore. Konami, sometime, make a mess about the lore. Like that one that Alucard marry she-Belmont (sorry, I forget her name) and that make Belmont's descendant have a strong physical and magic power. But this lore conflict with what Alucard said that he will never have a child so this curse fate will stop at him.
A cool and epic fight. Death and Dracula are probably the most stubborn enemies of all time. The fight will go on. I'm curious if there will be a cell phone game again or if Konami will finally release a Castlevania game for the ps4, nitendo switch etc. I think Girmorie of soul with its story and its many characters is just great. I just wish it would come out on google play. Unfortunately, I only own a Samsung and everyone who doesn't have an Apple can't play the game. Which I personally find very unfair. Especially since I'm a big Catslevania fan.
It'd be nice if they make the characters interact with Dracula for one like Soma it'd be pretty interesting to see on how he will react with the same powers and abilities as his.
As soon as I saw the cast list, everything about the English dub made sense. At least some of those people worked on games like F-Zero GX and Mega Man X7.

SERIOUS BUG!!!!DONT DEFEAT DRACULA EVER!!! In 1.4 version, if you defeated Dracula, the game will return to the main menu, instead of stage select scene. Loading the save again will do the same. You can't play any stages anymore. And the NEW GAME+ mode will be stuck at the character skill guide if you already upgraded the skill. Every time it will be stuck, and you are no longer be able to play the game unless you started a new slot which everything begins from 0.
It works fine for me, you can check the new game plus at the end of the video. Note: after start new game plus, you can LOAD you original game and continue to play!
Seems Julius's portion was cut and given to Trevor instead. The entire Trevor section could've gone to Julius (while merely changing a few words i.e. "first" Belmont to defeat Dracula to "last" Belmont to defeat Dracula).
According to the light novel Akumajō Dracula: Kabuchi no Tsuisōkyoku which before Grimoire of Souls was the last chronological material of the canon, the Vampire Killer was weakened when he stopped feeling the presence of Dracula's soul after Soma for sure reneged the title of Maō/Dark Lord and Julius went on to train Curtis Lang who was a hunter in the service of the Church who used another holy whip. However, with the Vital Souls in the Grimoire that are parts of Dracula's soul recorded in the grimoire could bring the Vampire Killer get back to work in Julius's hands.
