I feel the same way, I've being making games since 2002 till today, after so many years this game has made a huge impression on me, on how epic it is, i remember the critics at the time talking about copying other games and its bugs, but overlooking how this game years later as you said and i couldn't have said better it will be forever part of gamers lives.

This game was so epic indeed! I still remember when I played it. I just kept playing it over the course of 2 weeks. And like, it was magical, and quite huge also. The new chapters just kept coming, where does this game go, is it endless? New enemies, new bosses, very cool areas, story progression, new abilities. There was a bit more potential perhaps, but the game was already amazing. I never replayed it again, and I probably won't, but that first run was really great!

Yes this games atmosphere music and story was incredible. So many people didn’t give it a chance. I know I’m 5 years late but that’s because I wanted a refresher to the story before playing number 2. Started number 2 years ago but want to start over again. Yes I did play all dlc from 1 which is crucial to the story of 2.

There are some similarities. They both have characters who become vampires and considered to be the saviors of their worlds, having sons who were at first against them, but helped them later on. And they both have overly complicated plots.

What, exactly, makes you think the people who created this game weren't secular or non-believers? I guess the people who wrote the God of War games were believers in the Greek and Nordic pantheon. Inspiration doesn't imply acceptance of a particular belief. Such a profoundly ridiculous comment. And I'm not at all clear where socialism comes into it. The industry also is hostile to Christian devs like the Five Nights creator or the Tripwire Interactive CEO. I do not know the beliefs of the people who created this game but credit them with treating the subject with respect. This respect is gone in the modern games industry.
