VGPorage The only other Castlevania game where a boss fight had that much of an impact on the character (Lords of Shadow does not count... no pun intended) is Symphony of the Night... and maybe the Sorrow games.

I'd rank The battle against J in Aria of Sorrow as well.

It takes place in events before(1810) or after(1815) the events of the war of 1812. But the think the reason why it’s not on the printed timeline is because Order of Ecclesia was released in 2008, While Portrait of Ruin was released in 2006.

In Order of Ecclesia, Shanoa can equip an offensive glyph on her left and right arms. You can equip the same glyph on both arms, allowing you to attack twice with the same glyph. Some glyphs like Confodere can be used repeatedly until you run out of MP by alternating between the left and right glyph attack. Others like Pneuma have special effects when you throw out both to create a bigger effect.

It won't be stated as non cannon. Alucard was in his eternal sleep (I think) and DoS takes place in 2036 (a year after Aria) while OoE happens in the 19th century. I don't see any inconsistence.

André, o que vc diz nao responde a indagação. Criar um personagem que transcende gerações é um tiro no pé da Konami. Alucard participa de uns jogos e de outros nao, e a Konami nao diz nada a respeito. Não que ele obrigatoriamente tenha que aparecer, mas tem que ter alguma explicação disso, já que está claro que ele se comprometeu a defender a humanidade do Dracula (e outras ameaças) e em alguns jogos simplesmente não tem menção nenhuma dele ou qualquer justificativa de sua ausência. Order of Ecclesia também caiu de paraquedas no universo Castlevania. No começo, o narrador diz que os belmonts perderam a habilidade de 'resistir as trevas', o que faz sentido pois o Richter foi manipulado pelo Shaft no Symphony of the Night, mas... POR QUÊ? A história pode fazer sentido, só falta dar explicação. No final diz que a organização de Ecclesia simplesmente foi esquecida no tempo, procura no youtube que tu vai vir, tá assim: "as all record of Ecclesia vanished into the mists of time". Ecclesia e o poder dos glifos foram esquecidos no tempo? Como isso? Os glifos foram simplesmente o unico poder capaz de lidar com o dracula, como esconder algo assim? O Curse of Darkness acontece 3 anos depois do Alucard ajudar o Trevor na luta contra o Dracula, mas ainda assim ele nao tem NENHUMA aparição no CoD (apesar do Trevor aparecer). Enfim, eu posso citar muito mais omissões aqui. Não é inconsistencia, é falta de explicação pra coisas que simplesmente acontecem sem explicação.

I think this game takes place in the distant future of the castlevania games.... remember that the Belmont clan had died out by this point and only a few of their distant descendants were around, so figure at least 200 years, who knows where Alucard had gone by that point.
