"The Least Interesting Man in Dracula's Castle" is an interesting title for Carmilla to give to Isaac. Isaac was so strong and devout in his convictions, while still being calculating and methodical, that Carmilla didn't have any gap in his armor to exploit. He was the "Least Interesting" because she couldn't play him like she did with Hector and Godbrand. Love this episode, and loved the reaction!
@@exessen1684 Cmon but like you have to admit he was underused 1st time we see him, his only trait was being in love with Dracula, his arc though was great and he became more interesting but initially no one cared or seen Issac as peak.
@@TheCourtsOfLoveHe demolished Godbrand like 3 episodes after he was introduced lmao, he was always a problem. I do get your point but I'm pretty sure the person I replied to wasn't just talking about Isaac from back then, but him as a whole anyway
There's something that can be said about how was fitting that Isaac killed Carmila. Isaac, as you pointed out, change a lot and through that change, also change his worldview but his objective stayed the same, killing Carmila, but the reason of why killing Carmila change, is not longer about revenge, is about getting rid of this evil for the better of others. Because now Isaac focus on doing something for others, like the city he rebuild or justice for people that deserve it. Those are things that Isaac never got but he has the power to give. Now Carmila ideology make her want everything, instead of killing everyone, like Dracula, she wanted to own everything. So we have Isaac being at his most selfless againts the most selfish character. At least that's how i see it.
@@blacky8987 I mean to be fair she was raided by surprise had to fight legions of demons by herself and was already tired before issac came and he still needed help to kill her and she was doing all of that in heels so yeah I don't know if he deserved the win
@@carolinareaper6342 No, my guy, she didn't deserve anything because she is the same or worse than the people who created her, if you think it's wrong that Isaac defeated her with the hordes of demons, that's fine, because if you take away Isaac's power to create hordes of demons, I'll take away her vampiric powers hahaha, and we'll see who wins lol
In Castlevania Curse of Darkness (the game Hector, Isaac, and St. Germain are from) Isaac went down a different path. I won't go into details about the games plot in this video (since it would reveal a HUGE spoiler for this season), but in the game Isaac went completely insane, tried to get revenge on Hector; and ultimately died after fighting him. I really thought he would end up going down a similar path in the show; but I got to say, I really like the direction they ultimately took him. And Fun Fact: that winged night creature that fought along side Isaac is also in the game; his name is Abel, and is one the creatures he summons, during your fight with him.
There's one thing I can't help appreciating. Remember Isaac's earlier speech about using tools as he sees fit, as opposed to how they are "meant" to be used? In this episode, he used his forging knife to cauterize Hector's wound. Put another way, he used the fires of Hell itself to heal the man he spent so long desiring vengeance against. Isaac became a man capable of following his own beliefs rather than just speaking of them
If I had a nickel for every time a Castlevania fight happened on a pool of blood, I'd have two nickels. Which isnt a lot, but its weird its happened twice.
I think Isaac is at his most dangerous when his dagger has the Crimson flame on it. Cause once he cut's something while it's aflame he can inject the flame into the wound as seen when you see sparks when he stabs Carmilla in the side. Plus Isaac is able to multi-task forming the Red Flame on his blade while fighting. I would assume this would be difficult cause we never see Hector use his Forging Hammer in combat since it appears that a regular Forge-Master would would require his/her attention solely in the process of making Demons while Isaac is able to Forge while in the midst of battle. I would have liked to see what the Elder Forge Master Isaac had met was capable of.
"I feel like this is going to be an awesome fight" Ohhhhh yeaaaaah, 10/10.. She is def a BADASS, and went out like a boss, but ive hated her since the beginning, shes a great villain(I think voiced by Dexter's crazy British girlfriend, and is soo damn good at this role)... Yeah S4 was incredible, this animation studio is unreal.
“I can’t believe how much better this season has been” Funny how much can happen when season 3 did all the setup for this season. It’s almost like that was the plan
I think it's also implied that since Issac's knife is the magical tool of a forgemaster, it was actually capable of severing the magic of the ring, as opposed to it maybe not working if Hector tried using a normal knife
I really thought Carmilla fighting in an ankle--deep pool of blood across the entire room was going to become an issue at some point. Like, wouldn't it be difficult to kill such a powerful vampire with that much blood around? I thought she would start absorbing it at some point, like if she took a hit that knocked her to the floor, and she was lying face down in the blood. Then she could yell, *_"You don't deserve my bodily fluids!"_* It's weird that Isaac fights on the front line like that. If he got killed, his entire army would either scatter, or possibly just turn back into corpses. I really wish they revealed how a slave learned to fight that well, when Hector couldn't really fight at all. Their backstories never got to that.
@@sanzharzaitenov5268 Godbrand also said he drank the blood of a pig once, when he was desperate, but that he hated the taste. They can get by on animals, but they don't like it.
Carmilla was done dirty by the show. Do not get me wrong, I like the story line they developed with her, but she was quite possibly most loyal of Dracula´s servants in the games. Also, I understand they left Carmilla to her fate, but their sisters did not even consider what might have happened to Lenore.
I love carmilla because I don't like her...she is the most generic bad guy in this show. she is driven and singular in her focus. and is just a BA going out on her own terms.
Carmilla was incredibly flawed and a bit of a narcissist but on a certain level she had a point. Dracula would have wiped out humanity if she hadn't done what she'd done, and mad old men do have a habit of f****** over humanity as a whole. However she became exactly what she feared most, her trama warped her mind, Isaac did the right thing. Addendum her calling Isaac "the least interesting person in Dracula's castle" was funny but meh boy proved her wrong 100 times over with his character arc. Even before his 180 opinion on humanity i still thought he was WAY more interesting than Hector. His relationship with Godbrand could have ended differently if not for Carmilla. Seriously am I the only one who shipped Isaac and Godbrand, uhh prior to Isaac killing him dead D: that was depressing
i never liked carmila but i get her she not evil for the sake of it she been abused by men so she feminist but she the extreme kind the kind of feminist that would if givin her way would put men in concentration camps to be tortured and fed off of while turning all the woman into vampire then farming men like cattle till humanities extinction its scary but i did kind of feel sad when she died but she went out like a boss though i never understood why the vampire are so relunctant to kill all the humans like dracula wanted i mean its not like there wouldnt be blood animal blood i mean they would just end up being like humans and hunt there food or raise it plus there immortal and cant give birth so there population would stay the same and if war between them continued it would dwindle but they could just combine magic and science and try to find away to make more vamps or have dampire children with humans enough that they could have a population all on there own i feel like dampires could have kids together then u would have vampires that could give birth to save the population instead of prasitically having to rely on humans for food and numbers or just use the human to make more and vampires and just make an arrangment where humans give blood like there are so many ways these vampires could live without humans i used to think the whole daybreakers was stupid vampires cant live without humans so why take over the world because lets face it vampires were the early concept of necroids before necroids became a thing and there are so many ways there civilization could be sustainable i love vampires even twilight vamps yes i know how it sounds but if u look at there stats they were gods not vampires but its ok to add things to vampires sparkles was just a alternative to the whole burn in sun thing it made them two overpowered but it was cool i liked it and the whole abilities part why bella had powers before she became a vampire isnt a plot think about it kind of reveals what her vampire were a means to un cork the physical limitations of the human body her powersreally kick when she become a vampire and if u think of it that way its mind blowing other than there romance which hurts my brain and even though i have a case for why renesme and jacob relationship wasnt weird im not gonna defend it because they did end up together in the end but what we forget is immortality as a plot is a good way to explain away how its not creepy because she immortal and because she grows fast jacob and her can have there love story u cant tell me in seven deadly sins the anime the fairy girl and the immortal hot guy was not cute there immortal she a fairy child who stuck as one and he immortal so they cant be blamed the immortal child as a concept gets to have those things and cant judge because its physically impossible to wait tell she older thats as old as she gonna get she allowed to fuck even in eternal from marvel
i kind of feel like a crappy person i was rooting for the vampires to win an exterminate humanity is that wrong am i a psychopath idk I've always been team vampire as a kid i would fantasise about becoming one by falling in love with my thousand year old waifu vampire woman and she turn me after i was dying just realized i did emo phase omg its funny though before i was scared of vampires Dracula traumatized me even in blade not just the bramstoker one when dracula killed that goth girl in the store in blade man that terrified I'm both afraid of vampires and in love with them there like undead superhuman that drink blood if u think about it which is odd because historically they were monsters and u didnt want to become them they were zombies cursed people or sometimes dark parasitic gods and they werent called vampires but anway im gonna stop commenting
It's not strange. Especially regarding castlevania. The show writing is a masterpiece. The way they develop the antagonists makes us want to root for them. Dracula is a good example. We understand why he is trying to kill all of humanity because the church killed his wife while humans watched a cheered. We see Carmilla and her sisters rule a kingdom in a world/time where men had the most say. We can all understand the motives and reasoning behind their actions.
