Honestly starting a sequel off by making you refight the final boss of the previous game is probably the absolutely coolest and most effective way to get someone hooked.

For some reason when I hear this I can't help but imagine the fight at the end of the Bram Stoker's 1992 Dracula movie with Anthony Hopkins and them racing to get to Dracula before the sun goes down. One of the best pieces of boss music of all time. Gets you really hyped.

Could you imagine if the Netflix animation had Dracula with his glowing red eyes towering over the 3heroes while this plays , god I love castlevania

People in Japan who played Rondo of Blood be nostolgic for this, while people in the states be nostaglic for this because of playing Symphony of the Night all over again.

Fun fact: You can beat dracula with three hydro storms!
