I stole the wood, went to Castors Ridge and the house was already fully built and I couldn't even give the guy the timber. He said he sold the house and left, and that was that. What's weird is that when I stole the timber, I even got the prompt saying to take the wagon to Castors Ridge for a reward. This game is so stupid sometimes
Unfixed rogramming errors i guess. The guy just left and got me confused when that happened. I risked my honor and stole a random lumber wagon for nothing.
I spent 75$ for the wood and as soon as I got to thr cabin the father refuses the material, "not after what you've done" he said. I literally did nothing. At the end of the story, i lost 75 bucks and the folk started shooting at me
The lumberjack guy tried to buy some medicine off me. I didn't have any. then some bountyhunters came there. I killed all of the bounty hunters and now the lumberjack just tells me to piss off. I went to the house and the old man wanted me to piss off too. i'm so confused
If you kill people (even the assholes who deserve it and no penalty to the shooter would ever apply in real life) they get angry at you and you basically fail the quest. I personally hate Red Dead Redemption ii as the first one had a great honor system and it actually made sense.
For those who waited for days you can go back to the father then give him the 100 dollars instead it took me like 2 weeks from sleeping and waiting but the guy kept saying he ain’t no miracle worker or a bug arthur saying ‘Ill be leaving don’t work too hard’ some bug
Did everything to get the wagon but when I got there.. the house was already built. I payed $75 for that lumber and didn't get anything from that father. So... I hogtied him, beat the holy hell out of him, looted him, got 53 cents off him and continued kicking his head in until he died. I may not have gotten the $100 but I made damn sure I got *something* out of it.
I got there later in the game. The house is built already, threre is a Couple living but they don't take the lumber. The odd thing is that the white marker is still there! Any thoughts what to do next? Maybe sell the wood and the wagon at emerald runch?
Is there anything in the epilogue for this? I didn't do all the chores for the lumber yard, I just gave me the 100 dollars. I went back and it was just a young couple living in the house. Anybody get a dialogue from the home owners or John if they actually did the lumber missions?

I messed up. I was on my way to deliver the wood but I had to stop and get in a shootout cause O'Driscolls were blocking the path I turn around & the whole lumber & horses are gone and ran off. What am I supposed to do? I can't buy any more wood I don't think.
@@matzmx I went back to the lumber mill & the fricking guy wanted me to pay another 70 thousand for the wood again. I said F that & stole the dang wagon.
@@matzmx I might of been 70 dollars but I can't quite remember. Either way I already paid him once before for the lumber which I lost & wasn't paying again.
@bartu coşkun I really can't remember. But I would go to the homestead location and see how much of it has been built. If it's partially built then you still may have the opportunity to complete this mission, if it's fully built, I would say you've gone too far in the game and have lost the mission.
Fun fact wich is not well known. After you give the lumber to the dad and his two kids come back when its finished to get your money with interest. After you get your money beat the old man to his dead. You will get 10 hearts instead of minus negative heart. I dont know why this is very weird but the game give you points for killing the man haha
F I said I will get the lumber, but I was treasure hunting for days, and when I came back he has already built the house, I wonder if you lose 100% if you didn’t help him
i bought some lumber and i was almost to the house then some odriscles attacked me then i shot a lantern and it caught the wood wagon on fire and they ran away
this is the kinda utuber we all hate n i got the logswagon when the building is already built n some couple livin there n still theres the blip i took it there n saw they r just as clue less as me
