In this episode of the poker vlog, we play a simple session at The Gardens Casino in Hawaiian Gardens, CA (basically in Long Beach). We buy into the $5/5 game for $600 initially and play mostly straightforward hands. Even though the hands weren't super interesting, I wanted to get this vlog out just because I hadn't posted a vlog in a while and I figured it's better to post a moderately interesting vlog sooner than later instead of keeping you all waiting longer. The AJ hand 1 or both opponents should call a 25-30% pot size turn bet, using same logic of not needing to deny equity, I think you can still bet big on the river but build the pot on the turn.

Reminds me of that time I rivered the nut flush draw and semi-bluffed my opponent for value. Kinda risky, but the river card binked my rep range for the bluff shove- and I’m always checking for protection there

With the turn of the same suit, you should think about charging draws even if you are nutted in that suit because if you had to bluff with Ace-High or worst, like 5,4 suited. Charging draws with medium sized bets lets you represent Over Pairs. Also you charged Middling Pocket Pairs.

This is the first of your videos I’ve watched- great job! I’m considering starting a poker vlog. I’m curious what you use to animate the cards? I use fcpx to edit, I’m just wondering what I can use to edit in the graphics- I’m in socal as well. I hit up Gardens about once a month

Can't really defend that turn check with AJ at all. As said by betting you are building the pot with a very strong but also vulnerable hand if a K or Q hit the river. I doubt the larger stack folds river with more money in the pot and less in his stack.

I’d never accept cash from players. Tell players to give cash to dealer. Dealer gives you blacks and you give reds to player. Lots of scams out there.
