This is my review of the ROG Ally. If you don’t feel like watching the whole video, all I can say is that I do recommend this device. Yes, it does have its issues but no device is perfect right?
I don’t own a Steam Deck nor a Switch so this is my only handheld device.

Why would it be out of stock lol? Nobody knows this, nobody cares about this thing and people aren't into an overpriced pc h a handheld. The majority of people just want to play the cheaper switch with the better 1st party tittles, facts@check the sales on both products. The legion go will be dead on arrival too when it releases. The software,hardware, OS and baytery life sucks!!!.

There’s clearly a market for PC handhelds as people are buying them & companies keep making them. I don’t find this thing overpriced. That is subjective.

@itsmessiahyo that's not a market 😂 I see you're defending that piece of plastic nobody in the world cares about. So I guess the psvita, the dreamcast and wii u had a market big enough to keep those consoles going and make these companies money. You know nothing about marketing. The switch has a market! Nobody cares about that Rog Ally. I have one, it's cool. Love the graphics, but hate the battery life and OS.

As someone who has been an avid Xbox and gaming laptop user, I must say that this new gaming handheld device has caught my attention. While I don't game as much as I used to, it's amazing to have a portable option that still allows me to enjoy some gaming whenever I want and can play my steam library etc.

If you know your way around windows and dont mind its bugginess, this device is great, i chose the steam deck instead and im more than happy with it, but i rarely dock my steam deck, it can do it np from what ive seen but nowhere near as good as this beast, i hope you enjoy it man!

Yeah, I’m pretty familiar with windows. I do plan on keep this for awhile. Might get rid of my PS5 tbh.

I have a Series S and X, PS5, PC, Switch OLED, SD and this won’t replace any of them. I am trying to sell my Series S as I barely even touched it. My PS5 is still my primary but I might use the ROG Ally for PS remote play so I don’t have to use my phone/backbone. This is a cool device but can be pretty janky at times.

I'm loving mine too it's a beast. Pretty sure I'm gonna get rid of my series s and x but I'll be keeping my PS5. I'm running into issues with my tv only running 60hz also but I think it's just my cheap dock I bought from Amazon. The asus one is sold out. I wonder if one of your cables is bottlenecking it? That dock is supposed to support 1080/120. Maybe they gave you a cheap USB c cable with it? I'm curious to know.

I got the jsaux dock and it can output 1080p 120 np. Edit: I'm on SD and I should've clarified sorry.

I have my monitor connected directly to the Asus dock but only receiving 60hz. I’ll do some more digging later.

You have to use Armory crate to change the refresh rate. I was fighting with that for two days because I was trying to set it in Windows settings instead.

You spent alot on those accessories. I bought a 100 watt anker power brick for 30, a jsaux dock for 39, and the spigen case that can hold the power supply and alot more space for 39 also.

You could also put PS+ on the Ally and play streamed PS games. That's what I currently do

Can’t you just connect the 65 watt charger only to the box and just use that? Instead of the dock to dock.

no, not enough. I also tried a 108w laptop charger to the dock & then to the Ally. No 30w turbo mode.

I heard on a Tech channel there are rumors the Ally is selling less than what they expected. I know there are people who will put up with a Windows PC handheld but I think most people will not. PC handhelds are still a niche product.

I sold my ps5 today on GeForce now using the rog I max out all settings in squad hell let loose bf 2042 even beamng get 120 fps no need for ps5 lol
