Cats are actually more attracted to fat than muscle tissue, so what they are smelling is fat. Wagyu is really nothing more than fatty beef. If you put little slivers of pure fat next to the wagyu, most cats will just eat the fat.

I tried it after watching this video, using a4 wagyu and beef sirloins i got at Walmart. doubled the amount of meat pieces making it 4 x 4 in the same pattern as the video shows. Apparently my cat doesn't eat the same manner his cat does. He just eats whatever is closest. So the conclusion is, it's either - my cat is not picky. - his cat is fed wagyu most of the time (which is classy) - or he put something on the regular beef
