Wagyu beef is the most prized beef in the world. A single cow can be sold for up to $30,000. Part of the reason why it's so expensive is due to its exclusivity and increasing demand.

I tried wagyu sashimi recently. I was skeptical, since I’m not generally a big fan of land meat, but I’ll try anything twice. It was amazing. Absolutely buttery, almost dessert-like. I don’t know if I would personally eat an entire steak. It would probably be good, but the experience of savoring just a few slices of raw meat was amazing. I’m glad I let my friend order for us, since I never would have thought to try it myself.
@rectaldestructionisnotlove6596
Raw meat is bad for your health. They should ban bat eeter food. Always brings this ease. And they use too much MGS. That is why they eat anything. Should send them some rabbis. Teach them some kosher. Durr dagg eeters.

I trimmed and sliced beef tenderloins many moons ago (at one of the biggest meat delivery companies in the US) and anytime we came across a piece of meat like this we weren't allowed to cut it, we had hand it over to our supervisor. I thought it was because nobody wanted to eat meat with so much fat in it 😄. I came across about 10 of these while working there for a year. I still hadn't heard of wagyu meat until a year ago.
@rectaldestructionisnotlove6596
It is too expensive. And all the fat melts. So you have to eat raw. Which gives you this ease. There is a reason why they cook meat. Forget that batte eeter nun sense. I will take the angus well done and save bunch of money. And avoid trips to the hospital too.

There were a few times growing up where my dad would splurge and treat me and my mom to some Kobe beef. I didn’t care much for steak as a kid (I love it now as an adult), but I do remember how rich and tender Kobe beef was. You don’t even need to do much to it as far as seasoning goes, because the meat is so flavorful that adding too much other stuff to it spoils the taste.

Ironically I'm looking at an Arby's Roast Beef Restaurants Sign advertising Wagu Burgars are Back. After watching this Video I'm sure that this is perhaps a combination of various Beef Breeds, but not Authentic Wagu as per this Video which stresses Quality and Strict Diet Control over the Cattle. Story time. As a child, my steak was well done with A1 sauce. I didn't know anything different until I was 22 years old. Went to a company function in my honor. Fancy restaurant. I took my wife, as you do. The only option was chicken or steak for the meal. We both picked steak. When it arrived, we cut into it and noticed it was red, what we presumed to be uncooked. We looked around and noticed everyone just eating it up, so we gave it ago. It changed my life. I've not ordered steak well done again. I've even ventured into the dark territories of "Pittsburg Blue". My wisdom I'll impart on you... if you find a place that has certified A5 Wagyu, get it medium. If you're a steak person, like myself these days, you'll be tempted to order rare. DO NOT DO THIS. Wagyu is meant to be served medium. Medium rare at best.

They don’t stop to even ask “does it deep fry?” they just go for it. Chocolate bars and double deep fried food,….walking on the high street in Scotland, I was blown away by the sheer number of places; franchised fast food giants, to the knockoffs, the fish and chips, and everything in between.

It confusing. What you want is japanese black cattle, which since the early 80s has been illegal to export the livestock (which is bullshit). You can find 100% black cattle in the US but its rare(no pun intended). They come in different grades (this is A5). But just normal 100% black cattle is better than any other steak. The A5 really isn't eaten like you would typically eat a steak. Its too rich. I personally haven't ever bought it (had some nigiri that was amazing), but i do make orders online for boxes of wagyu. They also sell it at my local grocery store ($25/lb for wagyu ribeye is a steal).

Japan has some very different notions of value and culture. Normal food is quit cheap and good, but at the same time there are shops that just sell "pretty" food for insane prices. There is this trope about overpriced fruits in japan - and it isn't even wrong. You can very well pay upwards of several hundred dollars for a melon - they are meant to be given as a gift. Sushi - some cuts of Tuna are just expensive, in general sushi does not cost that much, around 50 cents - 1 dollar a piece for the "normal" stuff.

similar story in Australia, the most prized meat is called either a "bunnings snag" or a "democracy sausage". In both cases it's a cheap, supermarket sausage, cooked by volunteers, fundraising for organisations like the scouts or local schools, then thrown onto a piece of white bread, with some onions & tomato sauce. People will travel for miles just to get a bunnings snag. In covid, they even set up mobile vaccination clinics nest to the snag stall when vaccine numbers stagnated & got a massive increase because of location lol. Bunnings is an Aussie hardware store brand & the sausages are cooked in it's carparks on Saturdays & Sundays lunch time. "Democracy sausages" are a rarer beast & even more prized, being only available at polling booths during elections, therefore ensuring everyone turns up to vote, so that they can buy their "democracy sausage". No deep frying with either, but you can get butter lathered onto the bread & so covering the sausage too :) Ok, so we don't charge a fortune for these in the way wagyu does, but most Aussies would automatically choose the bunnings snag over a wagyu if offered both

All biz insider videos boil down to 3 things: 1. Difficulty producing the product. 2. Rarity of the product. 3. Labor involved, the more specialized the higher the cost.

I'd like to try Wagyu sometime. Makes me wonder if I would've succeeded in the career path of being a butcher if I would've chose that.

A vegan that knows that the suffering is killing the body will have an awakening. Vegans are leaving the plantation and regaining their health. The sooner the better vegans and whole food plant eating animal lovers.
