@@norwegianblue2017 depends, I have a female cat and she goes out of her way to attack me and won’t stop until I notice her. It’s a very frisky behavior that some cats display to their owners if they love them enough. If she is annoyed by me she usually goes away. But nah, she brings the fight to me. 😂
@@undeaditachi3494 I am a vet who specializes on cats. That behavior is not normal. Ask any other vets and they would do the same. Just because you beat your wife and she loves you back doesn't mean they enjoyed the experience
cats only wag their tail when they are pissed off. it was not predatory or defensive behavior so it didn't go full claw swinging but it was angry and was punching away
there can be many reason a cat wags it tail. in this case the cat was displaying all the behavior i mentioned before, so im pretty confident that it was not annoyed. it was having fun with its owner there are plenty of documented cases where cats vigorously wag their tails while being affectionate with their owners.
Some if you have never had cats it seems, this is how they play with each other. That cat is having the time of his life they always flick their tails when play fighting. Also, if the cat was unhappy it would have left they don't just sit there while you mess with them they will run away that cat kept coming back.
Notice the missing fur on its leg at the end of the video? This poor cat is mentally abused. I can't stand people who "jokingly" play rough with cats like it's a pitbull or something. Cats are meant to be loved, not fucked with. He's gonna make his cat mean!! Traumatized. Cats are sensitive. Anytime another person goes to pet it, it might attack them! It was cute when he stood up with his paws up. 🐾 But, this is more sad than funny... 😞 and sad that more people don't notice this.
literally no one is saying this is abuse, they're saying you shouldn't do this and you're assuming they're referring to abuse - when in reality they're talking about not teaching and encouraging your cats to play with your hand. people will whine and cry about how their cat nips them while they sleep but then continue to play with them with their hand. ITS YOUR FAULT FOR TEACHING THEM BAD MANNERS.
Oh my God, the arrangment here is so nostalgic, the wodden walls with these windows, the couch, the items on the back, even coat the guy is wearing, brings warm feelings.
@@thomaskia8441 I’m sorry you missed an opportunity to form a new relationship and companion. I hope your dad gets enlighten one day. Sorry for your loss.
If the cat was angry or upset it wouldve 100000% hissed and ran away. But it didnt . This is how alot of cats like to play . Fighting essentially . They do that with their tail both when playful and angry so its not an indication of distress .
We got a kitten and the rule is he isn’t allowed to touch it cause he made the last one into a fighter, and not a playful one, there is 100% chance of blood, and an 80% chance she will attack for no reason when you aren’t looking
Nah, That's how cats play fight. If it's actually pissed off the hand will be bleeding easily, people have no idea how durable rats are and cats usually eat them whole without any leftover
My grandpa's a real tough guy, life time hands on working man type guy, never laughs, like, NEVER... Oh but give him a cat, dog or little kid, to play fight with, he laughs until his lungs fail.
@@Spacedoggo_1021 cats literally wiggle their entire tails and bodies when they get excited and play. Have you ever owned two cats that play with each other?
@@thecringeprince2040 if you studied any kind of science, cats are instinctively hunters and he/she was angry its just that he/she is domesticated and didn't attack
ReDog Oh Jesus take the wheel. Obviously you have never owned a cat. That cat isn't angry. There's such a thing as "play fighting" Cats do it to themselves from day one. If that cat was truly angry she'd be hissing, growling, and biting hard and her owner would have mince meat for a hand.
Winking in the language of cats means, "I'm not a legitimate threat" If you're around a cat that is stressed or unsure of your intentions, try winking at it. That's not a fool proof suggestion but it's the right way to communicate if your intentions aren't threatening. It's also a sign of trust between a familial cat and it's owner.
This Cat wasn’t angry at all. He was okay fighting with his owner. If the Cat was truly angry. He will be hissing, his ears would’ve folded and he would’ve been going for blood. The Cat clearly having a good time playing because it’s their nature to be predatory.
Cats wag their tail and put their ears back when they are upset, which this cat is doing. Sometimes when the ears are back it’s not a sign that they are upset but that paired with the tail wag leads me to believe it’s upset Edit: omg it’s been a year, I have stated multiple times that this was my opinion, not 100% a fact and that I was just giving my input based on years of raising and caring for cats. Please stop responding to me Edit 2: okay, I’m terrible at putting things to words so I’m gonna try this again. Last time I edited this I was very stressed out about a lot at once and was feeling defensive. All I mean to say is that this isn’t an issue to me so I do not see a point in arguing with anyone. If you think the cat is fine then that’s great, I’m sure it is. I also would like to say that I know cats play rough as I have cats and one of them does like to play rough. I was just giving input, if you disagree, that’s valid, but name-calling and aggressive behavior seems like such an overreaction to something I doubt any of us really care about. We don’t know this man or his cat so at the end of the day, none of our opinions matter.
@@imacommenter1255 they also wave tails when playing or if they're indecisive about something, it's not just an aggression thing. Personally I think if he was angry he would be nastier or just walk away, or at least give a warning like a hiss.
@@somebodyyoudontknow3980 yes but fast intense flicking of the tail generally indicates agitation. Short flicks or slow long wags are play/hunting. These looked more like anger to me
@@imacommenter1255 you also gotta take into account how the cat was raised, may seem weird but that plays a factor in the tail wag department. Say the cats around dogs all the time, the cat would pick up the dogs traits sometimes. If the cat was pissed off it would have shown it and it wouldn't have gone for his hand again if not just running away entirely.
Cats play fight with each other like this, with soft biting and pinning each other down. They even do it to their kittens- it's completely normal. I will never accept the 19K dislikes being for anything other than the couch pointing at the window.
Body language is saying the cat doesn't like it. The cat is annoyed because this dude came up and started flicking it in the face while it was chillin.
I used to play like this with my cat, and he and I had a very good understanding of when it was time to stop fighting. I would turn my hand open palm and just speak in a nice tone to him and he instantly disengaged and would rub my hand. I hope if there’s an afterlife he is there with me.

You ought to have a special glove or hand puppet for that sort of play...Kitty will learn that it can be rough with the glove, but not when the hand is bare.
At first I thought he was invading the cat's privacy and bullying them, but then I realised that the cat didn't hiss and the ears weren't flat against the head.
The cat is not attacking. It is playing 1-It is not screaming 2-It is not scratching 3-its pupils' sizes are normal conclusion: not attacking, just playing
Copernicus it's not doing any of those things because it's just mildly annoyed and because he's it's owner, so he doesn't feel endangered by him in any way... notice what it's doing with its tail? that means it's pissed off
i eat shit cats can flick their tail for many reasons. They flick their tail when they are play fighting. Notice how the kitty flicks it's tail harder and faster right before he pounces. Cats play very rough. If the cat was even mildly annoyed he would have growled or hissed to say back off before really attacking (teeth and claws beared and ears back). In this video he's only playing with his person he's not annoyed he's having fun
Drej 101 lmao you what's your argument behind that though? You don't know the cat and you watched a minute long video. 1. There's no reason his owner would intentionally irritate him. And 2. If you know anything about cats or have ever owned cats you'd know that when cats are irritated they get the hell up and leave. Petting too much and they're sick of it? They get up and leave. Done playing and starting to get irritated? Hop off the couch and leave. And as for the tail wagging as I said before can be agitation or excitement. My cats tails wag and their fur even becomes poofy (also can be a sign of agression) right before they pounce and play with each other. This cat is not distressed, angry, or irritated
