I remember, my father would always play Cat Stevens CDs when we'd go on a family road trip during summer. Wild World and Moonshadow particularly stuck with me as a child. I remember listening to them in the car, looking at the stars through the window, in the middle of nowhere in Morocco. Very fond memories.. Years later, now that i get the lyrics and that i happen to be heartbroken, these songs have gained a few other dimensions. But the child in me is still there, and he still enjoys the happy memories regardless. Bless you all, much love

In '71 or '72 our rag committee at Technical College booked Cat Stevens for our Rag Ball (a dance for Chrissakes!!! ) Cat came on just accompanied by a guy on string bass. We just sat down on the dance floor and listened in silence. We were mesmerised, transfixed.... it was magical.

In 1972 my mom and I were waiting for the British Museum in London to open and so we sat at a nearby cafe. We were the only people there, and when the proprietor heard our American accents he came over to chat. Turns out that he was Cat Stevens’ father and he was very proud of his son. Sadly, at that time I had no idea who Cat Stevens was, but I faked it really well, I think. When I got back to the States I made a special effort to discover his music. Wild World is one of my favorites.

I LOVE Cat Stevens, (Yusef)!!!!!!!! When I learned of my fathers ailment which caused his death I wanted to give a CD, DVD, something of that nature to my dad before he passed away. Before he passed on he didn`t have anything to view a DVD with. So I kept it for myself. It`s a personal thing if anyone catches my drift. I STILL love that music he makes!!!!!!!!!

I love Cat Stevens..he is a reminder and the connecting vibration between my mother and me. Wild World is what gave me a sense of connection between my son's father and myself. Loved Cat Stevens! Check out his "Lady D'abanville" and "Matthew and Son" - two great tracks from the late 60's. Unfortunately Cat found religion and became a Muslim and changed his name to Yusuf Islam. That was the end of his recording career.

MY dear best friend Brenda "Brendisi" introduced me to Cat Stevens. She appreciated beautiful music such as this. She taught me many things, mainly that love is the answer. Her memory and spirit will live on and she will be with me eternally. Brendisi you left us much too soon.
