Cataclysm is the last expansion, atleast until more recent times, where legendaries can be considered "legendary" and not just annoyingly overpowered epics with delusions of grandeur which are available to anyone with the foresight enough to start the questchain!

I had the first stage daggers on my rogue back in the day and using them as combat was some of the most fun I’ve had as a rogue

why is that? it literally changed nothing at all (using daggers as combat), the 45% dmg increase on SS and RS simply made up for using fast MHwep

No, you just quest and do the cata dungeon when you reach them and gear that way, togheter with reputation from questing, can buy some gear from the factions.

Wrath way wasnt new. Ateish was that way. Collect splinters, kill Cthun Kill KT kill a demon in Strat.

the best spec for dragonwrath is boomkin closely followed by affliction warlock. always was and still is on every single cata server out there due to procs they can trigger.

Nah, there are a timeline they posted a while ago for all the versions of the game. Cata will come before summer ish, we have War within coming on retail @ fall. We get Firelands at fall.

They released the roadmap a while ago. Cata is at the beginning of summer, so likely May or June at the absolute latest.

From what I know back then and some pservers, the staff is 100% Fire mage prio 1.

that staff coupled with high mastery is BRUTAL because your mastery procs can trigger it too, i've had 4 spells go off on 1 cast before. i had the original staff back in OG cata.

@@joelhensley2077 i'm sure it will, and vemcrray doesn't understand raiding at all if thinks some class/spec just flat won't get it at all. in my guild the top dps from wrath who are carrying over are top of the list for it regardless of class. i'd give the staff to an amazing ele shammy before i gave it to 5/10 fire mage even if the sweaty neckbeards would say it has to go to fire mages.

Rogues get Legendary daggers free they can solo it this was that expasnion.

I honestly expect them to open up lockouts for 10 and 25 man and allow you to do both in one week. This would be the easiest way to increase the pace of gearing for a shorter phase system.

i hope they do that too honestly, my guild is right now wondering how we're going to handle going from 3 10 mans and a 25 man raid teams. my current answer to them is to start making an alt and do 4-5 10 man raid teams.

Drop rate difference between 10/25 man shouldn't be altered. If they change 10 man to match 25 man then it incentivises 25 man guilds to instead run 10 man splits for Firelands.

I'd dare say the loot should be normalised - which if I remember correctly it should already be. So for every 1 item dropping in 10 there should be 2.5 (sometimes 2, sometimes 3) dropping in 25.

It will feel like " Man I'm losing stuff because im running 10 man instead of 25" blizzard is also pretending to release 4.1>4.2>4.3 much faster compared to original cataclysm so it wouldn't be a surprise if ppl start doing 10 man Firelands runs and dont get their leggo until mid 4.3 if they dont change that.
