CATALASE, HOW TO BOOST IT AND HELP TURN GREY HAIR BACK TO ITS NATURAL COLOUR

(HONEST INFO, NO BOUGHT SUBS, NO SUBS4SUBS). CATALASE AND GREY HAIR GOES HAND IN HAND BUT WHY AND WHAT CAN YOU DO ABOUT IT, THAT IS WHAT WE LOOK AT IN THIS VIDEO. Catalase is well know to be involved in the process of grey hair as well as Hydrogen Peroxide but why and what does it do, is it possible to boost your levels of Catalase or is Catalase too difficult an enzyme when it comes to grey hair, Catalase, and Hydrogen Peroxide. Can you just supplement with Catalase and that way get more Catalase if the Catalase that you have is not enough to make a difference with grey hairs.

It somewhat makes sense. From the research I was able to do on grey hair, mitochondria has an important role. Some of the substances, such as CoQ10 (Ubiquinol/Ubiquinone), NAC, Vitamin B complex, etc., are beneficial in mitochondrial health. Cruciferous veggies are good for catalase. L-Tyrosine is one of the ingredients in melanine production (skin and hair pigmentation). Thank you for sharing your research and experimentation. 🌿

@@subs4794 I love researching, so there are many sources I looked up. I mostly get my information from clinical trials on Pub Med, ncbi.nlm.nih.gov and such. I also tend to take those with a grain of salt, due to some trials not meeting the highest standards, or due to a conflict of interest. I try to find confirmation from a few different sources. Hope this helps, as I don't usually record all sources I use and there are too many to mention. Good luck with your research!

Hi Devesh Singh Deo, thanks for your question. The problem with eating Catalase is that Catalase is a protein with enzymatic activity, in short we call it an enzyme. Proteins breaks down in the digestive tract into firstly peptides and then Amino Acids, and Catalase is no exception, hence, eating Catalase does not help, regardless of what any manufacturer might say. Hi, Jesper, great video as always! I have a question, i‘m taking NAC , taurin and Folate, the problem is that with every vitamin B i take, it makes my scalp breakdown, like folliculitis. So i will have to avoid the folate. Wich will be a good combination with NAC and Taurine? Will you add Ubiqiinol? Thanks for your response! :))
@JesperOffersenBSc
@JesperOffersenBSc 2 года назад
Hi AlainDemon, thanks for your question. If you eat meat regularly, eggs, and generally eat something similar to a usually officially recommended diet you should get your various B vitamins for normal living, so if you are taking various supplements with vitamin B's for a certain outcome, then perhaps stop that and just eat your normal diet (unless some of it is given to you by a medical doctor/GP) for a while and then see if your scalp is acting normally and then you could try Folate and see how it goes. If you generally feel vitamin B's do this to your scalp, as you say, then talk to your GP or medical doctor. I would (and do) take Ubiquinol and L-Methionine together with NAC and Taurine, try and have a look at my latest video on Oligomeric Proanthocyanidins, OPCS. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nQu8pp9e5Gg.html When washing your hair, try something that is for the face instead, like a micellar face gel wash to calm the scalp, that is what I use, then follow with a wash with the hydrating cleanser from CeraVe. When trying something new, there might be some pimples coming but that should go away after a few days, if something persists, then stop. I am not a medical doctor but it seems some people can have issues with vitamin B12, try and look that up in relation to folliculitis (adding the words NCBI so you get scholarly articles). Hi Masterkey, thanks for your comments. In respect of Fo-Ti, I have replied to that issue before and this here below was my reply: In respect of natural remedies be careful, Fo-Ti (Polygonum multiflorum Thunb. (He Shou Wu (HSW)) is the root of Polygonum multiflorum, a member of the Polygonaceae. HSW is well known for causing liver damages and is very high in estrogen-like compounds, and there does not seem to be any scientific evidence for all it's health claims. You don't want to screw up your estrogen balance, as it can make havoc in the body if not controlled by a medical professional. From the article below "Symptoms of liver damage (by HSW, inserted by me) occur mostly a month or so after taking the medicine, mainly including jaundice, fatigue, anorexia, and yellow or tawny urine. Of the 450 patients, two cases who received liver transplantation and seven who died, the remaining 441 cases recovered or had liver function improvement after discontinuing HSW products and conservative care." & "With the wide application, liver damage associated with HSW has been reported in China, Korea, Japan, Britain, Italy, Australia, and other countries [14, 15]. " www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4306360/ or "Several cases of hepatotoxicity due to PMT (Polygonum multiflorum Thunb., inserted by me) have been reported in patients from Australia, China, Italy, Japan, The Netherlands and Slovakia taking the product for hair loss, chronic prostatitis and to boost the immune system.[38,39,40,58,60,129] www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4471648/ I would stay well clear of Fo-Ti/HSW/PMT/Polygonum multiflorum. Hi Mazen Omar, thanks for your questions. To see a difference hair needs to grow as there will only be an effect on new growth, so I would say 3 months plus to see a difference at the base of the hair and it might not be all hairs that responds equally well. L-Tyrosine does not as such bring back hair colour, rather it saturates what is. I take it all at the same time, some morning, some evening but for Taurine I take that in the evening as it can upset an empty stomach/bowel. Check the video on Ubiquinol and Catalase here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-r7pXkwPY1-I.html In respect of Glutathione as a direct supplement, as explained in the video, it is most likely waste of money. Hi Jesper, thank you for your content. I recently started taking NAC, Folate and Taurine, I will order and add Ubiquinol soon. I am 26 years old and started going grey about 2 years ago. In the video you say that your greys are gone and that you achieved this by taking the supplements that i mentioned above. May I ask how long it took for you to get this result? I know everyone is different but I am trying to at least get a realistic idea. Also I noticed that along with the grey hair the texture of my hair in general (not only the greys) has changed. I feel like its not as shiny and overall feels dry and thinner than before I started to get the greys. Do you have an idea about that? Do you think this has also something to do with the hydrogene peroxide? Have you seen any differences in your hair texture before and after taking the supplements? Thank you so much!
@JesperOffersenBSc
@JesperOffersenBSc 2 года назад
Hi Evrim Dursun, thanks for your question. Before adding NAC my hair got darker overall (more saturated with the mentioned supplements) but only when adding NAC the greys changed (but I don't think it would have been enough on it's own for me but for some it is), when I noticed, I would say some months had passed but then as you see for the hair it had grown maybe 5 cm where it was suddenly my original colour. I think for those hairs that respond it goes relatively quick as the hair grows out. For those where NAC is not enough for all hairs, I definitely would do L-Methionine as in the video. I'm looking into why some hairs on the same head don't change but others do. Taking NAC as in this video here changed my hair to being more stiff/thicker ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wLqbv5ICTlU.html I'll make a video on what happened with L-Methionine apart from the issue with Catalase. Hi jasper, I have been watching many videos and I found you more knowledgeable and similar to solve my issue. I have one question for you, if you could help me please. my son is 10 yrs old now and he started graying at age 4. since he was 4 yrs old he has 2 or 3 strands of gray and still have 3 gray hair.those strands are always different, bc some of them turned black but pop again on other hair follicles. recently I did his vitamin and mineral panel and I found he has b6, b12 and b5 severe deficiency and b2 mild deficiency. his folate and other b vitamins are normal. beside these he also has selenium and manganese deficiency as well. he has been taking multivitamin when he was 2 yrs old but now I have stopped multivitamin and have started him selenium drops and methyl b complex with food. what I can give him for manganese and am I doing right to him to bring back his levels to normal. your suggestion is highly appreciated. I am also giving him probiotics, coconut oil and omega cod liver oil. he is perfectly growing and gaining weight but just concern about his graying.

Hi ayesha007, thanks for your question. Firstly, before giving a child who eats a normal diet, like anyone else in the household for example not having issues, a lot of various supplements, then have a chat with your medical doctor/GP to make sure there are no underlying issues causing lack of uptake for various vitamins/minerals. Secondly, if the 2 or 3 hair strands has always been there (apart from now and then one will fall out and after a while with the normal growth cycles come back) from the age of 4 (none further occurring and the child now being 10) then it simply could be and issue with those 2-3 hairs and not an general problem of greying very early. However, you say at one point the hairs went black but was that so you saw a black root and a white tip or was it simply maybe it fell out (as hairs do) and you did not see it until it started growing out again? After doing the panel test did you talk to a GP/medical professional, if not I think you should do that, if possible. In respect of Coconut oil, it can be a little straining on the intestines, as it can give diarrhea or way to frequent visits to the loo. Unless a medical doctor/GP has advised to add certain vitamins and minerals I would hold back for a while and try with some wholesome food, like as you say Cod Liver Oil, make sure it's one where the natural vitamin A is preserved, like for the brand Garden of Life uk.iherb.com/pr/garden-of-life-dr-formulated-alaskan-cod-liver-oil-lemon-6-76-fl-oz-200-ml/100446 then try with regular eating liver, I know it's not to everyone's taste but one way to make it palatably is to boil it, chop it up and mix it in the food processor with cayenne pepper and butter for spreadable consistency, maybe some salt for taste, then add to toasted bread or if possible ryebread, adding a sliced pickled cucumber or beetroot on top is great too for some "bite". Eggs are good sources of vitamins and minerals and so easy to do. The point is to make sure the diet is not lacking in nutrients, it does not have to be expensive. In case your child for some reason maybe gets more sugar in the diet than one should, then have a look at this Swedish study on how added sugar lowers the level of various vitamins and minerals. nutritionandmetabolism.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12986-020-0428-6 As always, doing as I do, say, show, write, or whatsoever is at one's own risk regardless. @JesperOffersenBSc
@JesperOffersenBSc 2 года назад
Hi again ayesha077, thanks for your question. Well, Manganese is a trace mineral, meaning you don't need a lot of it and most likely get enough if you eat a normally recommended diet. However, Magnesium is different as in it competes with Calcium or when Magnesium is low Calcium can go in and take the "vacant" Magnesium spot and that is not good, particularly can it happen if one takes Calcium supplements with Vitamin D. However, with a normally recommended diet it should not be a problem but Magnesium can be a little difficult to get enough of, as some will argue that our soils are low in the mineral, hence not as much in our food as their should be. Anyway, unless you are sure you are deficient in Manganese I would not take that (unless a medical doctor has said so) but go for Magnesium as chelated Magnesium, I use Doctor's BEST High Absorption Magnesium Powder. If you have general mineral deficiency I suggest you have a look at your diet and see if it is in line with what is normally recommended. Black Trap Molasses might be high in minerals but also is it very high in sugar. There is Calcium in Black Strap Molasses. As always, doing as I do, say, show, write, or whatsoever is at one's own risk regardless. Nothing I say, show, write, do, or whatsoever is meant to cure, heal, or prevent anything regardless. Hi jonboyi8523, thanks for your comment. The reason taking Catalase does NOT work, regardless of what the manufacturer says, is that Catalase is an enzyme, a protein with enzymatic activity, but as such a protein, and proteins are broken down in the digestive tract into Amino Acids. I only see a few things in the product that is of relevance, and that is L-Tyrosine, B6, Zinc, to some extend Copper, Folate, and B5 for the Citric Acid Cycle, but these things should be taken separately so one is sure how much one gets and one gets the correct dose, don't overdo Copper. Hi again mr mime, I did what I say in the video, pill forms are very expensive, that is why I buy bulk as much as possible (and to avoid too much fillers). Remember to take it with NAC to have something to break up Homocysteine. When I say, did, then as of present however, I do as in this video here in respect of Methionine ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6ao-d-ECjNQ.html. I checked this morning on the scale for DL-Methionine, and it seems to be that 20 spoons of 5ml is 55-60g (on a normal kitchen scale, as to how accurate such one is...) so each spoon is about 3g and I say I take as much as in the previous video on Methionine and Catalase, and therein I say 1 scoop in the morning and 1 in the evening, which works out to be about 6g daily, so twice 3g ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-o-irG09HfVA.html So yes, I take about 6g daily or maybe it's a little less but I use for now DL-Methionine but that might mean that only half of it is available for hair production, as the D form (making up 50%) should not be incorporated into hair, but only work as a antioxidant, so for the greying issue. It will take some time before Glutathione builds up in the body, so give it some months time, and check the roots of any greys a long the way, not all might change. @JesperOffersenBSc 2 года назад
Hi katrashis, thanks for your question. I would say it's a good start in my view and it might be enough for you, however, for me I find that Q10 is equally important and Methionine but if one does not need that then there is no need to over complicate matters, I feel. If taking Methionine then take NAC at the same time due to possible Homocysteine formation from Methionine. See my video on Q10 here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AJP2xgSVIW8.html for some NAC seems enough but I think that would only be if one is relatively young. Hi Jesper, I have white hair a lot. Is it possible to take only Ubiquinol and see results? Or is it necessary to take NAC, Ubiquinol, L Methionine, Folate, B12, B6, B2 and Betaine? Can one take all of that daily?
@JesperOffersenBSc
@JesperOffersenBSc 2 года назад
Hi Eduardo CASTILLO, thanks for your comment. The supplements I talk of I take daily, however I don't remember talking about B12 or B2 (eating meat, eggs, and dairy regularly one should get enough unless one does not eat meat, I have not tested if supplementing with them should make a difference on grey hair, that is not to say it doesn't). Anyway, before taking the whole lot, I would start with Ubiquinone as explained in this video here on Ubiquinone vs Ubiquinol ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AJP2xgSVIW8.html and NAC, if you can get NAC (problematic in US) then I would do Methionine (I would not do huge amounts of Methionine if not having NAC also, see my video on it here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dYZh7IqLdgA.html) For some NAC is enough for others not but Ubiquinone and NAC is a good start, also it's good to gradually add a supplement to see what made the difference or which combination. Give it some time to see a difference, hairs might change quicker on the body than on the scalp, and beard might be particularly difficult compared to hair on the scalp. The boring part is that one should reduce what causes oxidation in the body, like alcohol, carbohydrates (sugar), smoking, the usual stuff. One hair might change and the one next to not, it could be because one can can be boosted but the other has lost the ability to produce colour all together but I'm looking into if that is the case, and will make more videos on the matter when I find out more. As always, doing as I do, say, show, write, or whatsoever is at one's own risk regardless. Nothing I say, show, write, do, or whatsoever is meant to cure, heal, or prevent anything regardless. In the last few months, I started chewing vitamin c gummies and lozenges (along with zinc) and noticed big whito in my hair that I thought my indulgence in c8gar was doing. I never thought vitamin c would do that. Anyway, it looks like the main culprit is peroxide (a medium, grey/white hair genes express themselves), not that much of lack of ingredients such as copper. I have to see what will reduce peroxide in hair follicles as opposed to taking "ingredients" unnecessarily.

What about taking manganese which is the main cofactor of catalase?
@JesperOffersenBSc

Hi R. J, thanks for your question. Manganese is a part of Catalase, where the action takes place, however, Manganese should not be over-done as there is such a thing as Manganese Madness (too much is toxic to the brain). The main issues with Catalase is that it is rendered useless by Hydrogen Peroxide. As always, doing as I do, say, show, write, or whatsoever is at one's own risk regardless. @JesperOffersenBSc
@JesperOffersenBSc 2 года назад
Hi Hosam Arebi, thanks for your question. I use the company NOW FOODS for several of the supplements I take, however, in respect of NAC they sell it in capsule form and that is very expensive compared to powder forms. Further, they have several forms, the ones with 600mg contains Selenium and Sodium Molybdate, be careful with the latter, Molybdate, particularly if you start to take more than one capsule. In respect of Selenium I take 100mcg daily (NOW FOODS), these capsules contains 25mcg each. Now Foods has a capsules of 1000mcg NAC and that does not contain other supplements, so easier to see what one gets if starting to take more (that is often times something people do and then forget the other ingredients and that can be dangerous). I the video I talk of 600mg NAC and that's when I saw a change, so 1000mg might be more than needed, it might not. In comparison at the moment I take as described in my video on NAC and how it changed my hair to being somewhat thicker and more stiff ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wLqbv5ICTlU.html Check the side effects of Molybdate before consuming it.
