Catalina 445 new for 2022 Video Walkthrough Review By: Ian Van Tuyl Yacht Broker and Boat Dealer 

I spent years of my early childhood in the early 90s on a Catalina 44, and I barely remember any of it because of how young I was. Watching this I can get flashes of the old girl. Ventana, I miss you.

I'm about seven years away from purchasing my live aboard vessel and as many videos I've watched of Ian, I feel I'm simply going to have to pay him a visit before then. Love your walk through videos Ian! You make me want to purchase almost every single one.

Great walk through but wow… Was very disappointing to see water in the bilge of a brand new boat. Is this normal with the Catalina brand? Where did the water get in from?

Curious what others think about that locker access into the cabin. Appears as if it could be a security risk.

I wouldnt mind taking this boat and setting off to sail the South Pacific

Catalina has come along ways in 30 years! This boat is awesome. I like what they did with the old "quarter berth". You now can use it as a very nice cabin or an amazing utility room/workshop. Been watching your videos for years. You have a strong voice that is easy to listen to. Well it does get trying with the AH, AHHHHs and AGAIN's. Ian slow down, the AHHHHS come from your voice trying to catch up to your brain. Slow down they will go away. Stop, Bro. Straight up stop using the word again. Sometimes you just have to shut up and let the video talk. Total of 24 AH, AHHHS, and AGAIN'S. That is 1 for every 20 seconds. Wonder if it is my Asperger's that makes me notice things like that? Bet it is. Anyway, Ian take care, be happy, be safe.

A more conservative approach than the French boats, but nicely done.

Hate those rear helms. Makes you have to run all over tending lines. All that’s good on that boat is it’s shine. Sure won’t be any relaxing sailing there.
