This was an amazing stay at an amazing place with an amazing room. Loved every minute of it & can't wait to go back.
This room is one of only 6 of it's kind at this property. This is the only room with a large 2 person soaking tub (no jets, but bring your bubble bath or bath bombs). Room numbers in this category are 4002, 4004, 4006, 4008, 4010, & 4012.

Are there any rooms on top of your room and they look down at you while your in the swimming pool

Yes, there are rooms above that can see you in your pool, but they can't see you when you are under the awning on your patio deck. There was only one time we heard someone above us & they smoked a cigarette & went back in.

Hi nice room . how was the food and drinks? What about the beach? Was the beach clean and calm?

The food was not the best at the buffet or room service (not a lot of variety and not good quality. Room service food was always cold) and food trucks were really not good tasting ever. We only ate at The Grill once during our weeklong stay and it was "okay". I heard that Bloved is good, but very seafood oriented and we don't eat seafood. I wouldn't say that the food here is good at all, but the room, view and beach make up for it for me. I was kind of expecting the food to not be good based on the many other reviews on the Catalonia guest facebook page and Trip Advisor reviews. Drinks are weak, so you have to ask for an extra shot with your mixed drink or ask for the full can of beer to get the desired result...Tipping the bartender well helps too. We ended up picking up some extra liquor at duty free in the airport because we already heard that the drinks aren't strong. That helped too. It also helped for us to bring our own insulated cups and asking the bartender for a double of whatever we were drinking to fill up the cup. They obliged every time... with tip. You can't get any drinks prior to 11am... so no mimosas with breakfast. I posted a few videos today about the beach. This beach was not the calmest and at times had some pretty big waves. There was seaweed present, but not a lot. They did clean the seaweed every morning, but by afternoon it was piling up a little at the beach edge. There were sometimes blankets of seaweed that would roll in on a wave, but for the most part, it wasn't too bad. I would not describe this beach as calm or good for small children or non-swimmers.

Yes, if you have this room, you have Privileged benefits & that includes 24/7 room service.

You get a complimentary 30 minute couples massage & free access to the wet areas of the spa & that includes the hydro therapy pool & hot/ cold treatment pools. We didn't do it though

@@jois6939 I'm actually not 100% certain on that. I would think that you would have to make an appointment so it's not crowded in the spa areas, which would make it not so relaxing.
