Nothing like a great hat !!! I got a pink straw cowboy hat last time n just loved it. Wore it at n in the pool all the time. The hubs opted for a ball cap. Sadly he left his favorite one at a lunch restaurant n wasn't there or in lost n found. So whomever took it has hopefully enjoyed it.
Is Bloved restaurant adults only? We are traveling with 2 kids under 4 and got the privileged family swim up room (same as yours). Wondering if we will be able to have a meal there with kids. Also is Bloved open for both lunch and dinner?
Do they also offer a variety of margaritas? (i.e mango margaritas) How is the food? Is it better than Majestic? If you had to choose which resort to stay at, Majestic or Catalonia in your opinion.
Lots of margs to pick from. Food was good, probably better than Majestic. But I’d choose Majestic if the price was similar. Typically Catalonia is cheaper, so it can’t be fully compared. Both are good options. For the low price of Catalonia, I was impressed.
quick question. my wife and i are staying at the Majestic Elegance resort next month. is the Catalonia resort a better value? thanks & love your videos!
Hello! Catalonia is typically less expensive than Majestic, so depends on what you mean by value. Majestic is a great property, I wouldn’t second guess it. Especially if you’re already booked 🏝
Did you make your hibachi reservation on their app/QR code link same day or with a concierge? I’ve read a lot of comments regarding the app 🫤 Again, thank you for all the info you provide!!
hey I have a couple questions about this resort. Is room service and massage free? If not, how much are they. What app is used to reserve and do you have the QR code for reservations? Thank you!
Thanks for the video. I am getting two nights for me and my wife at 475 Usd for two nights. Is it worth it? Is there a way to get to the resort beyond getting a taxi from city? Thanks in advance
Sounds slightly high, but it depends when you’re traveling (and also your room category) you can book a private shuttle from the airport. If your talking about just venturing downtown, a taxi is the best way.
We never get room service … even breakfast at these resorts. The choice is limited and you certainly don’t get the pleasure of the variety of the breakfast buffet. We go to enjoy the Yucatan food as well as the beach. We stay anyway from Mexican food available in the USA … when we are in one of Mexico’s unique culinary centers, why would I order tacos? Same goes for burgers and fries … every burger I order displaces a unique Yucatan dish I then can’t enjoy. However, we do meet many people who want to experience the familarity of the USA in a Mexican setting, so your video does a great job of showing what the Catalonia Playa Mujeres has to offer in that regard.
Seems like a backhanded compliment! I don’t go to all inclusive resorts for their authentic food, I’d go into town for that. I get room service for the ease of being able to eat in pajamas, not for the food quality. I don’t like buffets, and I’d eat tacos daily, at home or Mexico 😊.
@@MemoriesandMojitosTravel It is a backhanded compliment. And yes, it was obvious you don’t go for the food. However, there are all inclusives that offer a lot of good authentic local Mexican cuisine, and your comment about going to town for “authentic” Mexican food can be interpreted as a veiled insult to resort food. However since you don’t review any, it is no comment at all, so perhaps the resorts should be grateful. Regarding your uniform dismissal of buffet food: it depends on the resort and how they run their buffets. We also prefer ala carte for dinner, but have found that sometimes buffets will be excellent and offer the best meals in the resort, so a blanket dismissal of buffets is very shortsighted. Edit: My original comment wasn’t even directed at you, but rather your viewers and those reading the comments. My interpretation of your travel video is that you view Mexico and the resorts like many American tourists, as a inexpensive place to vacation with nice weather, but darn it sure would be nice if they were more American … I view you as I would someone who eats at McDonald’s while in France. There is certainly a market for that kind of advice, but my comment was a suggestion to readers of the comment section that there is more to these resorts than you show in your videos.
